Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Drake's last name?

Answer: Parker

Drake Bell plays the character of Drake Parker, a simple, lucky teenager who is portrayed as very lucky with girls and known for not doing well in school.
Nichols is Josh's last name.
Crenshaw is the last name of Mindy, Josh's girlfriend since "Mindy's Back". They break up in "Mindy Loves Josh" but get back together in "The Really Big Shrimp".
2. What is the name of Josh's dad and Drake and Megan's step-dad?

Answer: Walter

Walter Nichols is played by Jonathan Goldstein. He is a weatherman, albeit not a very good one, and his rival is fellow weatherman Bruce Winchill (who both his wife and daughter prefer for his hair, much to his chagrin). He is also very quirky and at times, not too bright. In the later seasons, Drake and Megan call him "Walter" rather than "Dad".
3. What are the names of Josh's two friends who seem to be portrayed as stereotypical nerds?

Answer: Craig and Eric

Craig Ramirez and Eric Blonnowitz are two honor students who go to Drake and Josh's school. They are good friends with Josh, and Drake often exploits them as part of his schemes (he also often mixes up their names). They dress and act like stereotypical nerds, and most people consider them as such. They have little luck with girls.
Craig's last name is revealed to be Ramirez in "Who's Got Game". He is played by Alec Medlock.
Eric's last name is revealed to be Blonnowitz in "Eric Punches Drake". He is played by Scott Halberstadt.
4. What is the name of Drake's girlfriend in the episode "Playing the Field"?

Answer: Tori

Drake is afraid of commitment and he would much rather casually date girls for fun than get involved in a serious relationship. He is rather freaked out when Tori calls him her "boyfriend" so he decides to break up with her. He is worried because he gets uneasy when girls cry, so he practices (unsuccessfully) with Josh and Mindy just in case Tori cries when he breaks up with her. But, to Drake's surprise, she doesn't take their breakup very hard, and she seems cool with it. Later in the episode, however, Drake sees Tori dating several other guys, and he is jealous, and wants to get back together with her.

He decides to date another girl to make her jealous, and goes on a date to the Premiere with a girl at their school named Liza (or Hot Liza, as Drake puts it), when he sees her there with another guy, Brent.

He later tries to get back together with her, but she decides she wants to date around for a while. Drake also ends up setting up Liza with Brent.
5. What does Mrs. Hayfer constantly remind Drake?

Answer: she hates him

Mrs. Hayfer, played by Julia Duffy, is an English teacher at Belleview High School (Drake and Josh's school). She loves Josh for his hard-working attitude, but hates Drake (due to his lackadaisical attitude about school). Her catchphrase is "I hate you, Drake" with Drake responding, "I know".
Drake dated her daughter, Kelly, during the episode where she first appeared, "Mean Teacher". Drake was annoyed with Kelly's laughing at everything (even if it's not funny) and wants to break up with her, but Mrs. Hayfer threatens him with summer school if he does, so he tries to get Kelly to dump him (even using Josh's supposedly lucky shirt in the process).
Mrs. Hayfer appeared again in several future episodes, and in one episode ("Vicious Tiberius"), the boys even watch her house (and her vicious dog, Tiberius).
Goof: Mrs. Hayfer's first name is revealed to be Alice in the episode "Honor Council" but in "Vicious Tiberius", a video reveals her first name is Linda.
6. Which of these did Josh NOT "obtain" from his "lucky" shirt in the episode "Mean Teacher"?

Answer: relief from a headache

This is the episode where Drake has a girlfriend, Kelly, with a bit of a laughing problem (she laughs at everything, even if it's not funny). He wants to break up with her, but she is the daughter of his teacher, Mrs. Hayfer, who hates him. If he breaks up with her, she threatens him with summer school.
In a subplot, Josh is wearing an ugly shirt that he believes is "lucky", although no one else believes him. Josh does indeed, however, get very lucky. He doesn't get electrocuted by a chair Megan electrified, a kid gives him his extra video games (and then says he's going to go shave his head), and Drake's girlfriend, Kelly, sets Josh up with her friend, Allison, a teen model who loves video games and magic tricks, like Josh.
At the end of the episode, Drake asks Josh to borrow the shirt, but he wants it to get a date with Allison. They fight so much they rip the shirt, but it doesn't "work" all ripped up. Josh puts the pieces on Drake and luckily, he gets Kelly to break up with him, so she dumped him. Thus, Drake didn't break Kelly's heart, and Mrs. Hayfer won't send him to summer school. The boys also soon start to doubt how a shirt could be lucky, when their mother sends it to Goodwill. Maybe Josh just got lucky...
7. In "Tree House" what is the name of the kid who lives next door?

Answer: Robbie

When the boys accidentally destroy their neighbor's tree house, they are called to rebuild it. Their neighbor is a little kid named Robbie, who looks about 8 years old (he appears in "Josh is Done"). Unfortunately, Drake and Josh have dates with hot identical twins that night, and if they can't get out of the tree house (since they forgot to cut out a door), their dates will think they stood them up.

It doesn't help that Megan is grilling burgers in their face, and won't help them (or throw a burger that is actually cooked up to the tree house). Later, she sends Craig and Eric on the date instead, and although the girls seem to be interested, they are not at all, as they say they are getting drinks and soon leave. Robbie also appears in "Josh is Done". Drake is distraught that Josh no longer wants him in his life, and at one point, he tries to cheer Josh up by asking him to play with him on a "Sit N' Bounce". Josh remarks that Robbie who lives next door has one just like it, but Drake sarcastically replies "No!" Later, however, Robbie comes in, takes back his Sit N' Bounce, and kicks Drake in the shin, revealing that Drake took it from him.
8. In "Steered Straight", what are Drake and Josh's names on their fake ID's?

Answer: Alvin Yakatori and Jefferson Steelflex

In this episode, Drake encourages Josh to come see the Hailstones (Josh's favorite band) at the "Reptile Room", which is a nightclub, and they are not old enough to get in. Drake comes up with fake ID's using the names Alvin Yakatori and Jefferson Steelflex (there's probably no one in the world with those names lol). Josh is totally against it, although when Drake tempts him with churros, he manages to talk him into it.

Unfortunately, they are caught, and their parents, fed up with them getting into trouble, agree to send the boys to the cops' Steered Straight program, which shows them how it feels to be sent to jail.

They get into a police car with a cop, and when the cop stops for a minute, his car is soon jacked by a criminal named Blaze, who agrees to take the boys home, although they pretend to be criminals and say they are robbing their house, and then that they are kidnapping the governor. To get Blaze (and his cohorts he invites over) out of the house, they tie up their dad. Luckily, they manage to get them out in the end.
9. What is the name of Josh's first crush in the episode "First Crush"?

Answer: Kathy

In this episode, Josh has a crush on a girl at their school named Kathy, but he is so nervous around her he freezes up and starts talking about spoons. Drake's band, meanwhile, is playing at a coffee shop called the Brew Note when Megan puts her new snake in Drake's backpack as a prank. "Robert" (the snake) escapes and causes a panic, and Drake's band is banned from the Brew Note. Later, Drake gives Josh a lesson in talking to girls, and Josh uses this advice to talk to Kathy at school.

It is going great, until Josh is nervous again and accidentally says he can play the guitar. Kathy asks him to come to her birthday party and play the guitar for her. Josh and Drake hatch a plan to have Drake do the actual playing of the guitar while it appears to be Josh. Josh wears a big coat since the party is at the Brew Note, and Drake is banned there.

At the end, Kathy finds out Josh doesn't actually know how to play the guitar, but when he gives her some drawings of her the next day at school, she is impressed and agrees to come over and see more of his drawings, making Josh very happy. Kathy also agrees to give Drake's band another chance at the Brew Note.
10. In "Two Idiots and a Baby", what is the baby's name?

Answer: Max

This is a funny episode (the title is a reference to the movie "Three Men and a Baby"). Walter and Audrey are going to dinner with Walter's boss, Mr. Galloway, and his wife, but there is no one to watch their infant son, Max. Josh volunteers him and Drake to babysit, but that is not what Drake had in mind, as he has a gig with his band.

At first, the baby is quiet, but then he starts crying, and nothing seems to calm him down (even his favorite musical bear, which Drake accidentally breaks). Drake's band suggests he has a dirty diaper, and they are right.

While attempting to change him, Drake accidentally ruins the diapers, so they use a piece of curtain as a diaper. Later, things seem to be going well, until they notice Max is missing. Josh tries to find him with Marco Polo, but babies can't talk. Drake is away at his gig, so Josh leaves him a message. Then, Josh notices a curtain looking like Max's diaper on a catapult he had been building, making it look like the baby had flung itself.

He tests the catapult with a football, and he sees the football ends up on the roof, making it look like the baby's on the roof. Josh tries to climb up, but is stuck dangling from the gutter when the ladder falls. Drake cancels the gig and returns home, and gives Josh the ladder, which falls again. Megan initially denies she has the baby, but Mrs. Galloway wants to hear Max say "Mama" (which Josh said acting as the baby she wanted to "talk" to when they didn't want the Galloways to know he was missing). Eventually, Josh drops down, and Drake finds the baby. It turns out Megan had him the whole time, and luckily, Walter is not going to get fired.
