Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the beginning of this episode, Mark had his head on Elizabeth's belly, feeling their baby kick. What film did Elizabeth say the baby's kicking reminded her of?

Answer: "Alien"

When Mark lay his head on Elizabeth's belly, he commented that the baby was "really moving", prompting Elizabeth to say that it had been going "on and off all night". She also revealed that she kept thinking about a scene from "Alien", when the being inside the man was "moving around under his skin", before breaking "its way through with its teeth".
2. In this episode, Luka told Abby the name of his late wife. What was it?

Answer: Daniella

When Abby asked Luka what the name of his late wife was, he revealed that it was Daniella. In a tender moment between she and Luka, he revealed that he had loved his wife very much, prompting Abby to say that she was glad.
3. Which member of staff returned to the ER in this episode, having been on maternity leave?

Answer: Jing-Mei Chen

After eight weeks away, Jing-Mei Chen returned to the ER at the beginning of this episode. She claimed to feel "pretty good", and yet Carter asked if she wanted him to "tag along with" her, as there "could be some cobwebs". Although Chen declined his offer, Carter asked Abby to call him if Chen got into any trouble.
4. What contagious childhood disease did a little boy die of because his mother disapproved of vaccinations?

Answer: Measles

When Jing-Mei Chen called John Carter to help her treat a small child who had suffered a seizure, Carter found that the boy had a "classic measles rash" and "Koplik spots of the buccal mucosa". After questioning the boy's mother about his immunizations, it was revealed that he had not received the MMR vaccination and was suffering from measles, which eventually killed him.
5. What title preceded the name of the patient who informed Luka that they preferred his care to that of their own doctor?

Answer: Bishop

Bishop Stewart had been seen in the ER in previous episodes, but in this episode his condition seemed to have worsened considerably. As the bishop had his own doctor, Luka assumed that he was being manipulated, but in reality, the bishop simply preferred Luka's care to that of his own physician.
6. Who informed Kerry Weaver that Mark was "no threat to anyone except perhaps easily threatened, minor demigods"?

Answer: Elizabeth Corday

Corday said this to Weaver after discovering that Kerry had arranged for Mark to have a competency review, following the removal of his brain tumour. A furious Elizabeth yelled at Kerry, insisting that Mark was not a danger to anyone, before then hurling the demigod insult at her.
7. "He showed up whining about not getting an interview. You should shake his hand since this falls under your purview." Which member of staff, (who was also director of diversity), was Robert Romano speaking to when he said this?

Answer: Peter Benton

Romano said this to Benton after a young, black man questioned the fact that he had not received an interview for medical school. As newly appointed director of diversity, Romano explained that dealing with this man was now Peter's problem. When Peter reviewed William White's application, he was stunned to find his own application tucked away "in the back, with three others filed under" affirmative action. Later on, while discussing the matter with Cleo, Peter revealed that although his grades "were good", when compared "to the other applicants" accepted that year, he should not "have gotten in".

Moreover when he reviewed William White's file, he saw that all of the young man's grades were better than his own.
8. Which of the following comments cropped up repeatedly during the medical school interviews?

Answer: I want to help people

Early on in this episode, Romano was seen telling Benton that he should not bother familiarising himself with the admission folders, as those being interviewed were going to "toss out clichés about wanting to help people." Sure enough, during the interviews, when asked why they wanted to be a doctor, most of the candidates responded with "I want to help people".
9. Mark Greene finished his radiation treatment in this episode.

Answer: True

Mark had his last course of radiation treatment during this episode, and had only "two more weeks of immune therapy" to go. However his good mood soon evaporated after a visit from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, who told him that they had "been asked to evaluate" his competency "to continue practicing medicine."
10. "Is she some fringe lunatic who thinks immunizations are a conspiracy between doctors and drug companies?" Which doctor asked this about the mother of a patient?

Answer: Cleo Finch

Cleo said this to Carter and Chen, after the boy who was admitted with measles took a turn for the worst. Having developed pneumonia, "and in all likelihood, encephalitis", the little boy was in grave condition, and eventually passed away.
