Eric mentions that he likes jazz as well, and his grandfather was a big fan who even played the saxophone.

As Ginger tells Eric how nice it is to find someone who likes the same thing she does, Eric begins developing a crush on her.

Then she mentions that her sister, Jill, is coming to visit soon and that they should meet. Eric starts feeling uncomfortable and quickly leaves.

Karen talks to Susan before she leaves. Karen tells her that Sid would never have chosen Susan because she's not good enough for him. Just after Sid has sent Susan on her way in a taxi, Richard comes over to talk to him. He tells Sid that he and Susan only drove around and then stopped for a drink.

When Sid tells Karen, she asks if he believes it. He tells her that he's decided to believe it. Karen confesses to Sid that she wanted him to choose her in front of Susan, which he did.
