My favorite "Tom and Jerry" cartoons are the original 114 shorts from MGM 1940-1957. During this time it won seven Academy Awards for animated short. Some of the episodes with this famous duo include "Anchors Aweigh", "The Yankee Doodle Mouse" and "The Little Orphan".

3. I'm kimbwitchn from the USA and my favorite cartoon is an oldie but a goodie (like ME!) Two of the characters are animals, one very large and one much smaller. These characters are harrassed by a duo of Russian-like spies. There is also a historical segment presented by a dog who has a pet boy. The show originally aired from 1959 to 1964. What animated show makes me laugh so hard I almost wet my pants?

4. ElusiveDream here! My favourite cartoon revolves around a mad scientist's various attempts to genetically-alter the world's entire population. Standing between him and total world domination are four genetically-altered crime fighters, intent on stopping him doing to the entire world what he did to them. Which cartoon am I describing?

Answer: "Street Sharks"

The series starts off with the unexplained disappearance of world-renowned scientist, Dr Robert Bolton. Only fellow scientist Luther Paradigm knows the truth behind his work colleague's disappearance: he's been genetically-altered and transformed into a hideous mutant. Paradigm then attempts to the same to Dr Bolton's sons, injecting them with the DNA of various sharks. When he doesn't get immediate results, he orders his gang of seaviates (genetically-altered sea creatures) to remove them from his lab. Hours later, in the middle of a public park, the boys suddenly transform into mutants, half shark and half man.

There were two live action movies featuring them ("Space Jam", "Looney Tunes Back in Action"). "The Looney Tunes Show" is a series that premiered in 2011.

8. Shedrgn13 is here. From 1983-1985 there was a cartoon called "He-man". He was Prince Adam on a normal basis but when trouble arose he turned to He-man by the powers of Greyskull! He rode to battle on his steed Battle Cat. Who was his female companion warrior?

Teela is He-Man's faithful companion. On the planet Eternia she is considered one of its greatest warriors and Prince Adam's bodyguard. Unbeknownst to Teela is Adam's alter ego, He-Man. Also she does not know that the Sorceress of Castle Greyskull is her mother who gave her, as an infant, to be raised by Man-At-Arms to love and raise as his own.

"Looney Tunes" is an American animated series produced by Warner Bros. The show first appeared in 1930 and ran until 1969. Ever since I first saw Sam in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, I have been in love. This little cartoon cheers me up when I am feeling down. He is so funny but has a bad temper.
