Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Helen told Jack that Stanley was on a rampage for the rent.

Answer: False

Helen told that to Janet and Chrissy. Janet and Chrissy did not seem that concerned about the rent since they had their share and Jack had gone to Larry to get back the money that Larry owed him.
2. According to Helen, how late was the rent?

Answer: 10 days

When Helen asked the girls if they knew how late they were with the rent, Chrissy told her that they did not keep track of time. When Helen told them they were 10 days late with the rent, Chrissy corrected her and told her they were 11 days late with the rent. When Chrissy said that, Janet gave her a dirty look.
3. How much money did Larry owe Jack?

Answer: $100

When Jack got back to the apartment Janet and Chrissy asked Jack about the money. Jack told them that Larry said he had to use $50 to pay back another loan he owed but was putting the remaining $50 in the bank until it gained enough interest to make up the $100 he owed him. Chrissy was excited and told Jack that it was a good idea.
4. The last time Jack had heard from his uncle he was in __.

Answer: Argentina

He told Jack that when he was in Argentina he was into oil. He also told Jack that the women there were so Latin. Jack asked how the men were and Uncle Fremont responded that they were jealous.
5. Janet and Chrissy came out of the bedroom one at a time and said they were ready to go to the beach. Uncle Fremont told them that they should go and he would cook dinner. What was Uncle Fremont cooking for dinner?

Answer: Pork chops

Uncle Fremont went into the kitchen and put on an apron to prepare the dinner. As the trio was leaving, Stanley came to the door demanding the rent money. Stanley was quite upset that they had not paid it yet and blocked the door until he got his money.
6. How much was the rent on the apartment?

Answer: $300

Janet and Chrissy had their share of the rent but they still needed Jack's share of the rent. When Uncle Fremont heard that they were shy $100, he offered to write Stanley a check. Jack protested but Uncle Fremont demanded that he write the check. Once Stanley was gone Jack told the girls the reason he did not want his uncle to write the check was it was probably a bad check.
7. Uncle Fremont told the trio that he could always go back to Mona and never worry about being happy again. What type of event did he not say she would take him to?

Answer: Ballet concerts

Mona had called earlier and Uncle Fremont told Janet to tell her he was busy and not interested. That still did not stop Mona from chasing Uncle Fremont as she appeared at the apartment later in the episode to take Uncle Fremont away with her.
8. Uncle Fremont came up with a plan to get the check back from Stanley so he would not cash it and find out it was a bad check. Who did Uncle Fremont want to steal the check back from Stanley?

Answer: Jack

Uncle Fremont said he would plan a small party and invite the Ropers up for drinks. Once they were in the trio's apartment Jack would go into the Ropers' apartment and take back the check. Uncle Fremont said it was not stealing since it was his check. Chrissy agreed that it was not stealing since it had his name on it. Jack gave Chrissy a "Are you stupid?" look when she said that.
9. Uncle Fremont said he had made a few hundred thousand dollars the previous year in investments. Stanley said he was interested in investing some money himself. How much money did Uncle Fremont told Stanley he wanted a/an $__ deposit.

Answer: 100

Stanley told Uncle Fremont that he still had the $100 check that he had written for the rent. Stanley counter signed the check back to Uncle Fremont and gave him the check. The investment was not real, Uncle Fremont made up the story to get the check back from Stanley.

He told Jack while they were in the kitchen to get a conversation going about money and leave the rest up to him. Later when Jack told Stanley that he had lost everything in the investment he paid him the $100 that Stanley thought he used as a deposit which was actually the rent money that Jack owed to him.
10. Mona arrived at the trio's apartment and told Uncle Fremont they were going to Reno to get married.

Answer: False

She told him they were going to Las Vegas to get married. She had made all the arrangements for the wedding, the minister, the location, the time and even the suit Uncle Fremont would wear.
