Atherton once played a Dr. Linus Mills in an episode of the series "Nash Bridges", also produced by Carlton Cuse.

Even though, Ben has the students' interests at heart, he cannot deny the requisite letter of recommendation from the incumbent principal. Ironically, Ben sacrifices his own desires for the benefit of his prized student.
