The reason why Tuatha killed Betty was because Betty had Tuatha's wand. After Tuatha destroyed Betty, Prue took the wand from her and she back to the Halliwell manor where Kyle was. At the end of the episode, Kyle learned the truth about who he really was and he used the wand to not banish, but vanquish Tuatha once and for all.
