One of the many bad guys the team encounters makes a veiled threat to Gibbs in which he observes that McGee lives way out in Silver Spring. Gibbs is (understandably) unimpressed...

2. In the season 8 opener, "Spider and the Fly", what does Jackson Gibbs say that is different from his previous appearances?

Answer: He calls his son Jethro

In the previous episodes featuring Ralph Waite as Jackson, he always called Gibbs "Leroy", as did everyone else in Stillwater. It seems that our hero dropped his first name once he left his hometown.

3. What is Ducky's mother's first name?

Answer: Victoria

We can read this clearly on her tombstone, when Ducky (and Abby, and Mortimer the guide-dog-in-training visit her grave. The others are also all British queens.

4. What is La Grenouille's favourite opera?

Answer: La Forza del Destino

Just the sort of somewhat obscure choice we might expect from a sophisticated evildoer like M. Benoit!

Tony heard this one just before he entered the HR department in 2001 (it happened in the season 8 episode "Baltimore"). Kate was the first person to hear any of Gibbs' rules in the first NCIS episode "Yankee White" - Gibbs told her Rule No. 1 (Never let suspects stay together) and No. 2 (Always wear gloves at a crime scene)
Way back in 1976, Shannon told Gibbs her No. 1 rule - Never date a lumberjack: but Gibbs doesn't seem to have adopted that one!

6. What is Gibbs' star sign?

Answer: Virgo

Just as it is Mark Harmon's: his birthday is 2nd September.

7. Here's a poser - what was Gibbs' Marine service number?

When Gibbs gave Rosa Tamayo his number to quote if ever she needed his help, he added a G to the end. This is how we see the number drawn in blood at the crime scene in the season 6 episode "Deliverance" - the full number is displayed on the plasma in the bullpen.

Answer: Mac Fielding

Shannon's parents divorced a couple of years after she and Kelly died - something Jethro obviously didn't know when he asked Joanne how Mac was. I couldn't resist putting the late great British comedian Marty Feldman in there - well, he was a redhead!

Answer: Karen and Phoebe

Tony seemed to have missed out on hearing anything about Phoebe! He learns about her in the season 7 episode "Flesh and Blood", but by then she's another on the long list of EX- Mrs DiNozzo's! (Portia is the new baby in my family, and Claudia and Donna are a wave to "The West Wing".)
