Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

1. Angel comes back from hell.

Answer: "Faith, Hope And Trick"

He comes back at the end of this episode, but Buffy doesn't find out until the episode after, "Beauty And The Beasts". The rest of the gang finds out in "Revelations".

2. We see the Mayor for the first time.

Answer: "Homecoming"

Even though the Mayor has been mentioned since season 2, this is the first episode he appears in.

3. Buffy, Xander, Willow, Angel and Cordelia are killed.

Answer: The Wish

It happens in the alternative universe created by Cordelia's wish. In the end, Giles smashes the vengeance demon Anyanka's necklace, and everyone is fine. Now human, Anya seems to be the only one who remembers the other world, as we see in "Doppelgangland".

4. Buffy turns 18.

Answer: "Helpless"

She is robbed of her slayer strength, and put through a cruel test by the Watchers. She passes, but Giles doesn't and is fired.

5. Buffy is living in Los Angeles.

Answer: Anne

She ran away in the last episode of season 2, and as we see she is living in L.A. under her middle name Anne.

6. Faith gets a new watcher.

Answer: "Revelations"

Gwendolyn Post, who turns out to be evil, is Faith's new Watcher. In the end, she's killed. Wesley turned up in "Bad Girls" and is both Buffy and Faith's watcher, so that answer isn't quite right.

7. Amy turns herself into a rat.

Answer: Gingerbread

Amy Madison, from "The Witch" and "Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered", turns herself into a rat to avoid being burned at the stake. She then continues being a rat until Willow is able to turn her back to a human, permanently, in "Smashed", an episode of season 6.

8. Mr Trick is killed by Faith.

Answer: "Consequences"

Faith kills Mr Trick when he is going to kill Buffy. It turns out she was getting him out of the way so she could work for the Mayor.

9. Anya and Willow bring back vampire Willow.

This is the episode where most of the gang find out a bit what happened in "The Wish", and about Anya. "The Wish" and "The Prom" were two other episodes Emma Caulfield was in.

10. Buffy can hear what everyone's thinking.

My favourite episode of season 3. Buffy kills a demon and inherits his telepathic powers. She hears someone thinking about killing a bunch of people, and must try to stop this at the same time she's about to go insane from hearing everyone's thoughts.

11. Angel breaks up with Buffy.

Answer: "The Prom"

He breaks up with Buffy, and says he'll be leaving if they defeat the Mayor. In "Graduation Day Part 2" he leaves, and goes to L.A. and his own TV show.

12. Faith kills a human for the first time.

Answer: Bad Girls

She accidentally kills Allan Finch, the Deputy Mayor. In "Consequences", the episode after, she tries to blame it all on Buffy, who was with her at the time. Buffy is the only one of the two who seems to regret what happened.

13. Buffy quits the council.

Answer: "Graduation Day Part 1"

Giles was fired in "Helpless". In "Graduation Day Part 1" Buffy quit the council because they wouldn't help her save Angel.

14. The adults in Sunnydale are turning into teenagers.

As we find out in "Earshot", Giles and Joyce have sex (twice) on the hood of a police car in this episode.

15. Willow gets kidnapped by Faith and the Mayor.

Answer: "Choices"

The gang break in and steal the box of Gavrok, essential to the Mayor's ascencion, but Willow gets caught by Faith. They end up having to exchange the box for Willow, and is right back where they started, as Wesley points out.

16. Xander stops the school from blowing up.

Answer: The Zeppo

Xander ends up with a Zombie gang that is trying to blow the school up. He stops it from happening but the rest of the gang were busy averting an apocalypse and didn't notice.

17. Angel pretends to lose his soul.

Answer: "Enemies"

He pretends to be evil so he and Buffy can make Faith reveal her true colours.

18. Spike comes back to town.

Answer: "Lover's Walk"

He comes back because Drusilla left him. He then kidnaps Xander and Willow and tries to make her do a lovespell on Dru.

19. The school fights the Mayor. "____________ Part 2"

Answer: Graduation Day

The Mayor turns into a giant demon snake, and the entire graduating class fights him and his vampire minions. Giles then blows up the Mayor, and the entire high school.

20. It's Christmas time.

Answer: "Amends"

Angel is haunted by people he's killed (actually the First Evil), and they're trying to make him kill Buffy. He tries to kill himself to avoid this, but she saves him. This all happens during Christmas.
