1. On the mask that Lilith wears, how many eyes are there?

Answer: Seven

Lilith is always shown with it on. It is not shown in the series why. It only comes off in "The End of Evangelion".

2. What leaks from Lilith's side?

Answer: LCL

The tubes around her suck up the LCL for the Eva Units. Its basically her blood but since she is the creator of mankind, it can be used for cloning experiments as all humans are composed of it.

3. How did Rei come into existence?

Answer: The remains of Yui were mixed with LCL

Rei's got a mixture of Yui's flesh and mind with an upgrade of Lilith's powers and soul which has somehow manifested into the personality you'd expect Lilith to have if she was human.

4. Whose soul is supposedly inside Unit 01?

Answer: Yui Ikari's

Although it is never actually said, there are multiple clues about it. Unit 01 protecting Shiji, the high sync rate with Shinji, the amount of times Unit 01 has gone "berserk", the time when Shinji was trapped inside Unit 01 for a month and so on so forth.

5. What is the true purpose of the mysterious group, SEELE?

Answer: To bring about the Human Instrumentality Project

SEELE are the group of men that you rarely see. Whenever they interact with any of the characters, its usually sound only. They think man has to become too powerful and the only way to solve this is to bring about the last stage of evolution.

Answer: To unite all human minds in one spiritual entity

It was foretold in the Dead Sea Scrolls, that when Adam and Lilith would combine it would basically create God and everyone would give up all physical boundaries. It was going pretty well too, until Shinji rejected it and Adam/Lilith died.

7. Every Angel, Eva and human has a...what?

In episode 24 "The Beginning and the End", Kaworu aka Tabris, says that all living beings have an AT field.

8. What does S2 engine stand for?

Answer: Super Solenoid engine

This is where the limitless power from an Angel comes from, but when NERV-2 tried to built one into an Eva, everything from an 89km radius vanished completely. The only Evas who had them were Eva 01 and the Mass Production Evas.

9. Who is the pilot of Eva 00?

Answer: Rei

Her plug suit matches her Eva. She has a good sync rate with Eva 00 but it has tried to attack her in episode 14 "Weaving a Story".

10. Where is LCL used?

Answer: In the entry plugs

LCL is described in the anime as the "primordial soup of life". It used to carry oxygen to the lungs of pilots and link a pilot's brain waves to an Eva's.
