1. Who does Jeremy marry in series 3 for visa reasons?

Answer: Nancy

Nancy is an American and asks Jeremy to marry her so that she can stay in Britain. They get married in a small ceremony but Nancy leaves halfway through the reception for a job interview.

2. What did Merry give Jeremy and SuperHans?

Answer: A pub

Merry went to university with Mark and Jeremy and they meet again after her mother has just died. She has a flat above a pub and initially hires Jeremy and SuperHans to manage it for her. Then she promises Jeremy the pub before she is sectioned.

3. Who is Mark's main rival for Sophie's affections?

Answer: Jeff

Sophie briefly lives with Jeff after they begin going out in series 2. However, eventually they split up.
Barney is Sophie's cousin and Alan (Johnson) is Sophie's boss.
Jeremy and Sophie kiss at one point when Sophie and Mark go away on business and at the end of series 5, Sophie finds that she is carrying either Mark or Jeremy's baby.

Mark becomes increasingly annoyed by Sophie on the trip and in the end decides not to propose to her after all after a chat with Jeremy when they are stranded in the middle of nowhere.
However, while he is gone, Sophie looks in his bags and finds an engagement ring and accepts.

Mark meets Sally Slater at the Fitzalan Comprehensive school reunion. He tries to play it cool but is obviously annoyed that she has married Foz who bullied him at school.
Mark and Sally become friends again but he is terrified when she suggests an affair.

Mark and Jeremy live in Croydon in a block of flats called Apollo House.

Barney calls round to the flat in series 5 with Mark's half of the wedding tuna after his wedding to Sophie and also leaves Jeremy a CD of music that he has made.
Jeremy and SuperHans listen to the CD and decide it's better than anything they could do so decide to ask him to join them.
However, Barney does not last long in the band and is soon calling Sophie's dad to come and pick him up.
