Yazz's 1988 single plays as Potter approaches the club and inspects the new lights on the club's exterior for the grand re-opening.

Potter is wheelchair bound after an accident where a fruit machine fell on him, leaving him without the use of his legs.

Answer: True

Jerry takes over as licensee in the second series of the programme. This is after much persuasion by Brian who finds him singing parodies of well known hit singles in Asda! My personal favourite was "Heavy Duty Refuse Sacks" (to the tune of Will Smith's "Men In Black", or Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Not" depending how old you are!)

Set in Bolton of all places! The only other time I can recall the place being used in a classic comedy programme was in "Monty Python's Flying Circus" for their infamous "Dead Parrot" sketch!

Probably my favourite characters in the whole show, Max spends most of the first series taunting his colleague Paddy about his hair loss problem, despite the fact that Max himself is the one who is balding. When Paddy reminds him of this fact, his reply is "I lost most of my hair worrying about yours"!
