Answer: Slade Prison

He was sent to do five years at slade prison after the judge told him, "you are a habitual criminal who accepts arrest as an occupational hazard and presumably accepts imprisonment in the same casual manner".
2. What is the name of Fletcher's daughter who sometimes visited him at the prison?

Answer: Ingrid

Ingrid visits Fletcher in prison during a few episodes. Her visits also please Godber, who takes a liking to her.
3. Who played the role of Senior Prison Officer Mackay?

Answer: Fulton Mackay

Fulton Mackay superbly played the role of Mr. Mackay, the Scottish Prison Officer. Brian Wilde played Mr. Barrowclough, Peter Vaughan played Harry Grout and Ronnie Barker, of course, played Fletcher.
4. Which of the inmates stages a roof-top protest to help Fletcher get back in the Governor's good books?

Answer: McLaren

Fletcher goes up onto the roof to heroically solve the apparent problem. His descent is not quite so heroic though.

Fletcher and Blanco hatched a plan to get back Blanco's possessions back from Norris. The plan involved giving Godber a fake map and fooling Norris into swapping it for Blanco's possessions. It also put Norris in trouble when he was caught digging up Leeds United's football pitch after being released.
6. During the "1975 Christmas Special", which character falls through the yard floor into Tommy Slocombe's defunct tunnel below?

Answer: Fletcher

Fletcher tries to lead Mackay into falling into the tunnel below, but ends up becoming the victim himself. Fortunately for Fletcher, he ends up in the prison hospital where he had been trying to get too earlier by falsely claiming he had a bad knee.
7. What event do Godber and Nesbitt have together that most of the prisoners want to have a bet on and some prisoners want to fix the outcome?

Answer: Boxing

Godber and Nesbitt are fighting for their respective wings, but have both been told to take a dive by different prisoners. The outcome being that on the first punches thrown, both fighters take a dive and pretend to be out for the count. Fortunately for Fletcher, he was the only one who bet on a draw.
8. Where do the pills that Harris steals and Grouty wants returned, get lost?

Answer: In a cup of tea

When Fletcher finds the stolen pills in his cup of tea, he and Godber swallow the pills to hide the evidence. But when Mackay finds the empty bottle, he takes great pleasure telling Fletcher and Godber that the pills were for curing the bad breath of the Governor's dog.
9. In the film version of "Porridge", how do Fletcher, Godber and Oakes escape from prison?

Answer: On a coach

Oakes has to take Fletcher and Godber with him after they discover him attempting to escape on a celebrity football teams coach. The problem being that Fletcher and Godber have both nearly served their time, so they decide to break back in.
10. What was the name of the sequel series, which followed the lives of Fletcher and Godber after being released from prison?

Answer: Going Straight

One series of "Going Straight" was filmed showing Fletcher and Godber living a life without crime. While being quite good, "Going Straight" was not up to the standard of "Porridge".
