During the constant flight from the Cylons (with the Cylons attacking every 33 minutes), the Olympic Carrier disappears, only to reappear several hours later. Fearing the Olympic Carrier may have been infiltrated by Cylons, orders are given that it should not approach.

When the ship disregards these orders and nuclear weapons are detected aboard, Roslin and Adama reluctantly give orders that the ship be destroyed.

It is this incident that prompts Roslin to publicly reveal to the Fleet that Cylons can now mimic humans, a fact that had been kept secret for fear of spreading panic and suspicion.

The Cylon, a copy of the Leoben Conoy Cylon which Commander Adama encountered in the mini-series, is interrogated by Starbuck to little avail. When Roslin arrives the Cylon makes a number of claims and then grabs her, whispering urgently in her ear that Adama is a Cylon. Realising that he will only tell further lies and sow discord, Roslin orders the Cylon put out of the airlock, setting a precedent for future captured Cylons.

However, the seeds of suspicion about Adama have been successfully planted in Roslin's mind.

Answer: Boomer

Suspicions have been growing within Boomer's own mind that she might be a Cylon and so, having heard of Baltar's device, she seeks reassurance from him which he provides. What she does not know is that Baltar's device has, in fact, identified her as a Cylon. However, Baltar, frightened by what Boomer might do to him once she finds out, decides not to tell her.

The news that he has been chosen comes as some surprise to Baltar who has had no previous interest in politics.

This incident seems to indicate a growing respect between the two in place of the tensions and suspicions which have marked their working relationship.

This is taken to be a hallucinogenic side effect of the remedy Roslin has been taking to treat her cancer. However, the priest Elosha sees it as a sign that Roslin is the leader prophesised thousands of years previously to lead the human race to Kobol and then on to Earth.

Adama is outraged that Roslin has convinced Starbuck to go behind his back and against orders in order to return to Caprica and retrieve the Arrow of Apollo which Roslin is now convinced will aid her in opening the Tomb of Athena on Kobol and finding the route to Earth.

Lee Adama is also present on the mission to arrest Roslin but rebels and threatens to shoot Tigh in the head. Only when Roslin surrenders herself to Tigh to avoid bloodshed is the stand-off ended.

Boomer had tried to shoot herself in the penultimate episode, fearing she was a Cylon. However, she survives, having only caused minor injury to herself.

After Starbuck's defection, Commander Adama sends Boomer on a mission to destroy a Cylon basestar. The mission is successful but before completing it Boomer comes across multiple copies of herself and realises that she is indeed a Cylon. On her return to Galactica she is brought before Commander Adama in order to be congratulated. As Adama stretches out his hand to her, Boomer, her Cylon programming no longer latent, shoots him twice in the chest.
