Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "I am an attractive man. You know, I have never told you this, but sometimes when I bend down to pick up the morning paper, I catch Bree Van De Kamp checking me out. I've always exuded a certain sexual magnetism and as I get older I think it is only becoming more intense."

Answer: Tom Scavo

This conversation between Tom and Lynette from season 1's "One More Kiss" came after Gabby kissed Tom during one of Bree's cocktail parties and Lynette felt threatened by the situation. The conversation went like this:

Tom - "I am an attractive man. You know, I have never told you this, but sometimes when I bend down to pick up the morning paper, I catch Bree Van De Kamp checking me out. I've always exuded a certain sexual magnetism and as I get older I think it is only becoming more intense."

Lynette -"Are you drunk?"

Tom - "Oh, I am a hot guy...Living in a neighborhood filled with nothing but lonely ladies. They can't help themselves. I'm like...catnip."

Lynette - "Thank you. Thank you for reminding me that I am the only woman in the whole world who could love an idiot like you."

Tom - "I'm telling you...These women want me. They see the rippling muscles underneath this t-shirt..."

Lynette - "Good night Tom."
2. "At least your husband tries to be romantic. Every anniversary, my husband bought me an appliance. On the last one, he gave me a vacuum cleaner. He died two weeks later. I didn't cry."

Answer: Karen McCluskey

Mrs. McCluskey has had some of the greatest one-liners in the entire show and her cantankerous personality is what has made for some hilarious moments. This quote came from the third seasons "My Husband the Pig" episode, when the buzz of Valentine's Day was sweeping Wisteria Lane. Ian provided Susan with an engagement ring and played Mike for her in a hand of poker, while Tom tried to surprise Lynette with a romantic evening that she vetoed, but that he forgot to cancel.
3. "I feel like you are this fun, happy, power couple. And I am just this needy, pathetic, idiot who jumps into bed with the first pancreas thief who kisses her!"

Answer: Katherine Mayfair

This quote came from season five's "There's Always a Woman," when Katherine was confronted with her loneliness and was considering relocating to Maryland. Bree set her up with a man that Orson had told her was his college roommate, but who turned out to be an ex-convict that was incarcerated for organ trafficking.
4. "First they came for the fountains, but I did not speak up because I had no fountain. Then they came for the lawn gnomes and I did not speak up because I had no gnome. Then they came for my tree house, and there was no one left to speak out for me."

Answer: Lee McDermott

This fantastic quote came from the fourth season's "Art Isn't Easy," when a bitter dispute waged over Bob and Lee's new metal fountain on their front lawn. As Katherine sought to become the president of the Homeowner's Association, Bob and Lee tried to drum up support for their cause by appealing to Lynette, regarding her children's tree house, and making their case by comparing Katherine's tactics to that of a Nazi.
5. "I just can't live in this detergent commercial anymore...I'm sick you being so damn perfect all the time. I'm sick of the bizarre way your hair doesn't move. I'm sick of you making the bed in the morning before I've even used the bathroom."

Answer: Rex Van De Kamp

This was, by far, Rex's best speech throughout his time on the show; this quote came from the very first episode after Rex had asked for a divorce and Bree had accidentally 'tried to kill him' by putting onions in his salad during a moment of distraction. Bree's first impression was that of a woman who demanded and strove for perfection and while one can respect her goals, her 'Stepford Wife' identity was shattered when Rex offered up this gem of a speech.
6. "I go after men because I want them. You go after them because you need them. You have holes in your heart...that can only be filled with a pair of trousers! Face it...you are weak!"

Answer: Edie Britt

This little quote came from the fifth season's "Connect! Connect!" episode, when Susan and Edie were locked in the basement of Andrew Van De Kamp's new house. After tracing the history of Susan's love life, Edie sought to distinguish the difference between the way the two of them approach love and relationships, and honestly, she couldn't have been more right about Susan.
7. "Can't you see I am holding a baby hostage! I will call back."

Answer: Lynette Scavo

This fantastic quote came from the second season's "Coming Home," which marked the return of Zach Young and which was also the first episode after the death of George Williams, Bree's treacherous pharmacist. Lynette was fighting for daycare at her workplace and got caught up in between her boss and his wife regarding whether their daughter should participate.

While the two feuded, Lynette locked herself in her office with their daughter, Mindy, and tried to mediate the situation through protective glass.
8. 1: "You hunkered down on top of me like you were hiding from the border patrol!" 2: "I was tired. You just laid there and I did all the work. When it was done I felt like I should deflate you!" 1: "Yeah, well sex is like tennis...when you play an inferior opponent your game suffers." 2: "Are you challenging me to a rematch?" Which two characters had this argument after they slept together for the first time?

Answer: Edie and Carlos

This conversation came from the third season's "Liaisons," after Edie and Carlos had slept together and Edie's son had reported back that Carlos was telling people she was bad in bed. The rematch Carlos mentioned did take place but it ended with both of them in the emergency room for various bumps, scratches, and other damage; they didn't try again until later, when it felt more natural and not so dangerous.
9. "All right people we're going to follow the body. This way please. Come along!"

Answer: Bree Van De Kamp

This quote from season 1's "There Won't be Trumpets," involved the death of Juanita Solis, Carlos' mother. At the same time as this tragedy occurred, Carlos and Gabby were facing the loss of their house in order to pay for Carlos' legal fees. During the processional to bury Juanita, Gabby discovered that Carlos had purchased a mausoleum in her honor and Gabby stormed off into the graveyard.

As mourners began to follow them out of confusion, Bree realized that Gabby and Carlos were fighting and decided to take charge of moment and keep people on track with the funeral's program.
10. "I don't get why people say that. I love pity. Pity means that someone is trying to understand what you are going through. That they sympathize...and I do...I have spent my whole life putting myself out there and I am still, today, alone. Just like you."

Answer: Susan Mayer

This quote came from the fifth season's "The Story of Lucy and Jessie" when Susan found herself wondering how to let her boss down easily after she had made a pass at her the night before. While her boss, Jessie, thought Susan wasn't interested in her simply because she was too old, Susan tried to explain that she simply wasn't a lesbian, but that she still wanted to be her friend.
