Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Three CPU guards were watching the Mainframe Archives when Hexadecimal arrived. She took care of them and took control of the paint program. What was it that Hexadecimal painted in Mainframe that alerted Bob to her crime?

Answer: The Sun

While the Mainframe Archives were invaded, Dot was leading a group exercise with some sprites in Mainframe. Bob was looking at a motorcycle that a person was trying to get him to use and replace his car with. As Bob was saying how his car was a classic, he looked up and saw a giant brush painting a Sun in the sky. Everyone was amazed by the spectacle, but Bob was not.

He contacted Phong, who told him that Hexadecimal had invaded the Mainframe Archives, stole the paint program, and was using it from her lair via a direct link.
2. Taking advantage of the paint program at her disposal, Hexadecimal decided to repaint Megabyte's "Tor". What did she repaint it to look like?

Answer: A vase with flowers sticking out of it

After painting over most of Mainframe, Hexadecimal decided to repaint Megabyte's lair. She painted it yellow, wrote her name near the top of it and then placed some giant flowers through the top. The lair was transformed into a giant flower vase. Megabyte was angry, but Hexadecimal just repainted him to look like a jester.

After repainting him, she cut and paste him outside of his lair. He was trapped in suspended animation for all to see.
3. After Phong was taken out by the paint program, Bob had to find someone to reverse everything from the Archives while he went to Hexadecimal's lair. As he reached for Glitch something happened to it. In fact, what happened to Glitch also happened to Mainframe's zip-boards, communications, and transports. What happened?

Answer: They all melted into a puddle.

Phong told Bob that the effects of the re-paint would be made permanent when the user backs-up the system. Phong also told Bob that he could lock out the paint program from the Archives, but he would need Bob to go to Hex's lair and reverse the changes she made ot the city.

Hexadecimal noticed the transmission and repainted Phong because of it. She erased his head and replaced it with an apple. She then cut and pasted him right beside Megabyte. Bob then tried to use Glitch, but it melted. Everything that was not a building or a sprite in Mainframe melted.
4. While chaos raged on throughout Mainframe, Mike the TV was filming a documentary about Hexadecimal's paintings. What did Mike the TV call his documentary?

Answer: Hexadecimal: The Madness and the Glory

Bob told Enzo that Enzo would need to contact Dot and then get her to break the Archives' link to Hexadecimal's lair. He then said that Enzo and Dot should wait for his signal. Though he did not know what it would be, he told Enzo that he'd recognise it if he saw it.

While that happened, Mike the TV was filming a documentary about Hexadecimal's art. He called it "Hexadecimal: The Madness and the Glory". Bob interrupted the filming and took the camera. He also told Mike the TV to follow him. Apparently, a camera and Mainframe's most annoying citizen were involved in Bob's plan.
5. As Bob and Mike the TV were walking through Lost Angles, they noticed that Hexadecimal's art seemed to be very fixated on a certain resident of Mainframe. Who was she so fixated on that she had to make art about that person?

Answer: Bob

As Bob and Mike walked around, they saw that Hexadecimal seemed to be fixated on Bob. All of the nulls were repainted to look like Bob and cardboard cutouts of Bob were littered throughout Lost Angles. Mike the TV interrupted Bob and then told him that Hex was going through her blue period.

It seemed unusual that her muse would be the system's guardian. Until season four, the true reason for her obsession with Bob was never revealed.
6. Back at the Archives, Enzo and Dot were wondering how to get past Hexadecimal's insane art. Enzo tried to use a series of vid-windows looped like DNA to climb up to the paint program's link. Enzo fell off of the edge, however. What did Enzo turn into when he fell over?

Answer: A series of vid-windows

Enzo said that climbing the stranded vid-windows would be easy if they were used like stairs. Enzo climbed up two of the steps before he fell over and collided with vid-windows on his way down. He was eventually turned into a large series of vid-windows. He had the power to make vid-windows at will, which made him more useful to Dot than ever.
7. Bob's plan was to try and distract Hexadecimal at her lair with a fake TV interview. Bob was not at the camera, despite it appearing like he was. What was the cameraman in reality?

Answer: A cardboard cutout of Bob

As Mike the TV was interviewing Hexadecimal, she could not help but talk about herself and her fascination for self-portraits. Mike the TV continued to wing the interview when Hexadecimal asked Bob for her close-up. It was no longer Bob. She knocked over the cardboard cutout of Bob and expressed her anger. With the distraction he was given, Bob was able to undo everything Hexadecimal had done.
8. After reversing everything Hexadecimal had done, Hexadecimal was ready to destroy Bob. What did Bob do to save himself from her wraith?

Answer: He used the paint program to cut and paste her mask onto a screen.

In the archives, Dot realized that the frantic explosion of activity was Bob's signal so she sped up to get to the paint program's link. Bob was still at Hex's lair when she began her hostile advance on him. He used the program to cut and paste her mask onto the screen in front of him.

A beam of light shot out of her head where her mask used to be. She cried out in pain. Apparently, without her mask, she could overload and die. Even though she was a virus, Bob did not want to let that happen.
9. With Enzo's power gone right before Dot could reach the paint program's link, she made a final jump towards it. Did Dot manage to reach the paint program link with that jump?

Answer: No

Dot jumped from Enzo's only remaining vid-window. She missed the jump by a fairly large margin. Frisket was restored to his normal size so he caught her and vaulted her right up to the paint program link. She managed to break the link to Hexadecimal's lair. Bob wanted to restore Hexadecimal's mask, but with the link gone he could not right away.

He had to call Glitch back. Using Glitch, he re-attached the mask to Hexadecimal.
10. After saving Hexadecimal's life, Bob left someone behind at Hex's lair to entertain her. Who did Bob leave behind?

Answer: Mike the TV

With Hexadecimal approaching complete deletion, Bob cut and paste her mask back onto her using Glitch. She had little remaining energy. As soon as the mask hit her, she fell over and began shivering. Bob left Mike the TV behind to entertain her. She was incredibly weakened and Mike the TV was using his advertisement skills to try and get a reaction out of her. Before the episode concluded, Hexadecimal looked up at Mike when a bolt of lightning flashed within her lair. With the flash, her mask transformed into her evil mask.

When the flash disappeared, her calm mask returned.
