Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race 6" Quiz

Teams flew to Oslo, Norway in the beginning of Leg 2 and were told to drive thirty-five miles to Holmenkollen Ski Jump outside the city. Once there, teams found the first Road Block of the race in which they needed to choose one member to perform an Olympian feat. Once chosen, that team member needed to head to the top of the jump and perform a zipline challenge on Scandinavia's highest ski jump traveling one thousand feet to the ground. Kristy, Jon, Bolo, Adam, Hera, Kendra, Jonathan, Don, Aaron, and Maria all completed this task. After the Road Block, teams were told to travel to the Rock Viking Village, fifty miles away in Brandbu.

Arriving at Haggvik Station in Sweden in Leg 3, teams took a tandem bike ride to a rural farm on the Swedish countryside to find their Road Block. This Road Block was certainly a doozy. Teams needed to head into a hayfield and unroll bales of hay until they found their clue inside.

In two hundred seventy bales of hay, only twenty contained clues. Aaron, Jon, Lena, Victoria, Gus, Adam, Freddy, Bolo, and Don all attempted the Road Block task. After the Road Block, teams headed back to Stockholm to the Pit Stop, the Af Chapman. Lena and Kristy, who spent several hours at the Road Block, were unable to find a clue before Phil eliminated them at the site of the task.

Answer: Salt

In Leg 4, teams flew to Senegal to complete tasks near Dakar. Arriving at the pink lake known as Lac Rose, teams found the Road Block which required one member of each team to take traditional tools into the water and haul several large buckets of salt to the shore to fill a larger bucket.

This grueling task was completed by Jonathan, Kris, Kendra, Hayden, Lori, Adam, Gus, and Mary Jean. Upon completion of this Road Block, teams made their way to the fourth Pit Stop of the race: Ile de Goree off the shores of Dakar.

In Leg 6, teams began in Germany and found themselves at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. In the night, teams signed up for their Road Block task requiring that they take turns doing a bungee launch into the air known as a hot rocket bungee shooting 200 feet into the air.

The Road Block was only completed by the girls of the race, particularly Kendra, Victoria, Hayden, Hera, Kris, Lori, and Rebecca. After the Road Block, teams were told to fly to Budapest, Hungary, where they would be able to find their next clue in Eger.

Answer: Soup

Team members certainly needed to be hungry in Hungary. In the second part of Leg 6 in Budapest, teams headed to Gundel's Restaurant to find an eating challenge for their Road Block. In this task, team members needed to eat a twenty-four ounce bowl of spicy Hungarian soup in its entirety to claim their clue.

Many team members discovered that this was quite difficult as the volume and intense spice of the soup caused many to become very ill mid-task. Freddy, Jon, Rebecca, Aaron, Victoria, and Gus all tested their taste buds in this task while their team mates only made things worse. Jonathan started screaming at the Hungarian band playing off to the side, Victoria threw up, Aaron threw up because of that, and Kendra pointed out the aftermath to Freddy causing him to become ill as well.

After the Road Block, teams headed to the Pit Stop, Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest.

In Lalibela, Ethiopia, teams progressed to St. George's Church for a Road Block task in which one member of each team was required to go into the church, receive a special pendant, and use it to match the design with one featured on a worshiper found outside. Once they correctly matched up the pendant, they would receive the clue directing them to the next Pit Stop, Lalibela Lookout. Hayden, Lori, Kris, Adam, Freddy, and Victoria all finished this task before walking one mile to the Pit Stop.

Answer: Lori and Bolo

In Sigiriya, Sri Lanka, teams made their way to Lion Rock for the Road Block task when required that one member of each team make their way on foot from the bottom to the top of the landmark, more than one thousand steps in total. At the top they would need to spot a race flag marking the location of their next Pit Stop, Hotel Sigiriya. Jon, Lori, Aaron, Adam, and Freddy completed this task and found their next Pit Stop successfully. Lori, though, was turned away at the top of the rock because she didn't have her ticket to go any further (Bolo actually held onto it, enclosed with the clue, by accident).

She had to walk back down to the bottom to start the task all over again. They were eliminated as a result.

Answer: Tai Chi

In Shanghai, China, teams needed to make their way to HuaXia Bank Tower where one member of each needed to head to the top of the building and descend along the side on a window washing platform forty stories up. Once there, teams needed to clean a dirty window to properly read a code message which, when they reached the bottom of the building, they would need to read to the supervisor to receive their next clue. Kendra, Aaron, Kris, and Rebecca completed this task.

After the Road Block, teams headed to the People's Heroes Monument to find a group practicing Tai Chi.

Answer: Hayden

In perhaps one of the most frustrating tasks ever held on the race, teams headed to the north peak of Mount Hua for a Road Block in which one member of each team needed to take a key enclosed with their clue and search through over three thousand locks attached to the ropes at the top of the mountain for the correct match.

Not only that- if the key broke, they'd need to go to a hut further down the mountain to get a new one...and the task needed to finish before the mountain closed at 7:00pm. While Kendra and Kris finished earlier and headed to the Pit Stop, Rebecca got hers at the last moment and Hayden and Aaron threw in the towel.

They were subsequently eliminated.

Answer: Skydiving

For their final Road Block task, the remaining three teams progressed to Honolulu, Hawaii and the Kamaka Air Hangar. Here, one member of each team (Freddy, Jon, and Adam) needed to be chosen to perform a tandem skydive over eleven thousand feet to their next clue box on a sandbar in Kaneohe Bay where their partner would be waiting.

After this final task, teams were told to fly to their final destination city, Chicago, Illinois.
