1. Over the first three wars, what was the name of the team which entered series 1 champion/Series 2 3rd place winner Roadblock and series 3 semi-finalist Beast of Bodmin?

Answer: Bodmin Community College

Roadblock was created as an A-Level project by students of Bodmin Community College, assisted by their teacher. Their robot defeated robots who were created by, among others, electricians, mechanics and even a team of nuclear engineers!

2. What was the name of the controversial item that Tornado used to defeat Razer for the series 6 championship?

Answer: Anti-Crusher Web

This item was highly controversial, as it caused Tornado to be unable to fit into the pit. However, this was unintentional, and it's only purpose was to counteract Razer's claw.

3. Why was the Nemesis team stopped after getting off the ferry and forced to disassemble Diotoir?

Answer: They were suspected of smuggling drugs within the robot.

Due to this, the team was only just able to finish reassembling their robot in time for their round.

4. Which robot was the first featherweight champion?

Answer: Demolisher

Demolisher was actually a remote control car which had pieces of metal attached.

5. Chaos 2's first ever battle was an informal roadside skirmish with which robot?

Answer: Cassius

Rex Garrod, the builder of Cassius, had assisted in building Chaos 2 and had suggested the battle. Chaos 2 won 4-1.

6. What was the reason for Rex Garrod's retirement from "Robot Wars" after series 3?

Answer: He harboured an intense resentment for some of the rules.

Rex was known for being a kind-hearted, generous and sporting person, who would prefer attacking the house robots rather than a beaten opponent. However, he felt that many of the rules were inadequate, especially backstage safety rules. After a person was injured backstage by a berserk robot, Garrod retired in protest, although he did compete on the independent circuit for a while with Cassius 3.

7. When Storm 2 was created, what team had the team-captain previously been a member of?

Answer: Suicidal Tendencies

Ironically, despite the captain's less than impressive past with ST, Storm 2 would become one of the most successful robots ever.

8. When Marlon Pritchard rebuilt X-Terminator for series 7, what did he do with the original?

With the redesigned X-Terminator, the team reached the grand final of series 7. They were defeated by Typhoon.

9. Team 13 Black had previously entered another wars with a different robot. What robot was this?

Answer: Limpet

Apparently, according to the designer of 13 Black, Limpet now sits cannibalised in the owner's garage, where its shell serves as a home for a mouse in winter.

10. Which robot was controversially favoured by the shows producers, due to high expectations?

Answer: Mortis

Due to it's incredibly high-tech design, Mortis was seeded 2nd for series 2, above series 1 runner up Bodyhammer, Cassius and Chaos. Mortis had only managed to make the heat final of series 1, so being given second seeding was unfair. In the pinball trial of their semi-final, Mortis lost a track on a spike at the start. Ordinarily, the robot would've been out, but they were allowed to fix it. Even so, Mortis only scored 35 points, but it was listed as 100 points, causing Napalm to go out.

Interestingly, Mortis was refused entry into series 7, despite being thought so highly of by the producers and its improved design.
