Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many queens were introduced as contestants in season 10?

Answer: Fourteen

Much like a number of the earlier seasons and season 9, this tenth season of the show saw a single returning queen since Eureka O'Hara took her open invitation from her withdrawal from the previous year. Also, similarly to the previous year (during which the show moved from Logo to VH1), the show started with fourteen queens total (up from ten in season 8).

After their introductions to the workroom in episode one, all fourteen were tasked with walking the runway for queens from the previous nine years of the show.
2. Which contestant, eliminated in the first round of competition, found lasting fame for her exit soundbite?

Answer: Vanessa Vanjie Mateo

During the first episode of the season, the queens threw back to the first-ever "RuPaul's Drag Race" task, 'Drag on a Dime', where they had to use materials from an assortment culled from a dollar store to make their runway looks for the week. Mayhem Miller won the challenge, but Kalorie Karbdashian Williams and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo were sent to the bottom for their poorly-executed looks. Both performed Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" in front of the judging panel (including Christina herself) and Vanjie was sent home. On her way out, however, she decided to repeat her own name several times ("Ms. Vanjie! Ms. Vanjie!"), leading social media to have a bit of a field day. Queens throughout the season (including RuPaul and Michelle Visage) continued the line as a running gag.
3. This season's runway ball centred around which theme?

Answer: Global warming

The ball this season appeared early on, and eleven queens were required to construct three different outfits each to present to the judges for The Last Ball on Earth, themed around the apocalypse to come from global warming. For this, the queens had to start the show with an outfit framed around Alaskan Winter Realness (ie. a beach outfit), then continue with a Miami Summer Realness look (winter garb, in other words), and then walk the runway in the Martian Eleganza Extravaganza outfit that they started from scratch.

After this, Dusty Ray Bottoms and Monét X Change ended up in the bottom two and faced off in a high energy lipsync to Nicki Minaj's "Pound the Alarm".
4. Which of these was not a topic of any of the queens' DragCon panels in episode six?

Answer: Attitude

During episode six, the queens took a lesson in marketing themselves for an audience, presenting a moderated board in front of Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon (on the judging panel) and also a live audience, in an attempt to replicate a DragCon discussion forum. All of the queens would be able to work in groups to present on the topics 'Face', 'Body', and 'Hair', and they would be rated as panels and individuals. Eureka won overall while the 'Body' team got high marks. Ultimately, the 'Hair' team lost for being scattered and borderline offensive to one another.

The lipsync saw Blair St. Clair against The Vixen with the former going home.
5. In episode eight, the queens performed in a 'Rusical' to celebrate which LGBTQ icon?

Answer: Cher

Each queen needed to portray Cher during her different eras during the Unauthorized Rusical, but in a surprise twist, the queens were required to sing live on the main stage-- not perform lipsyncs, as has been done in the past. When the queens hit the stage, all of them had to hit complex choreography and remember their lines.

After a glitter-themed runway, RuPaul placed Asia O'Hara and The Vixen into the bottom two (it was the latter's third time in the bottom in a row and she was eliminated this time).
6. No queens were eliminated in episode nine (which featured 'Breastworld').

Answer: True

During the ninth week of competition, the final six queens were required to take on roles in an acting challenge meant to satirize HBO's "Westworld", and after Aquaria dished out the parts, they took to memorizing lengthy passages of script to perform on-set and attempt to wow the judges. Ultimately, Eureka and Kameron Michaels failed to make a splash and both went to the bottom two to lipsynch to Patty LaBelle's "New Attitude". RuPaul was so wowed by their performance that she kept both of them in the running and led the final six into a second week together.
7. The makeover challenge for season ten featured the queens putting which of these types of people in drag?

Answer: Social media stars

The final six went into their makeover challenges with social media stars (Kingsley, Raymond Braun, Anthony Padilla, Tyler Oakley, Frankie Grande, and Chester See) by their sides (as decided by mini-challenge winner Eureka). What followed was a lesson in drag for the six YouTubers as they had to walk the runway with a familial resemblance to their drag mothers and perform in a DIY music video for RuPaul's "Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent". Kameron Michaels and Monét X Change were placed into the bottom and lipsynched; the latter went home (though Monét would win Miss Congeniality at the end of the season).
8. The final four needed to write new lyrics and perform to which RuPaul track in the final week of competition?

Answer: American

After losing Miz Cracker in the penultimate episode, the final four proceeded to one of the most ambitious final weeks of the series thus far, jumping into intense choreography with Todrick Hall and recording personalized, new lines to sing to RuPaul's "American", performing both before a final runway on the main stage.

This was later followed by a four-way lipsync to RuPaul's "Call Me Mother" before the queens were told that they would all be moving on to the live finale.
9. The live finale for the season saw one queen eliminated based on a flopped lipsync gimmick. Which of these was involved?

Answer: Butterflies

In the finale, the queens were matched up via the spin of a wheel and informed that they would be facing off in lipsync showdowns to famous Janet Jackson songs. Kameron Michaels chose to sing against Asia O'Hara and the two performed to Janet's track "Nasty".

While Kameron had a straightforward reveal planned for her showing, Asia's costume was notably elaborate and she'd planned to remove her ornamental bracelets and brassiere cups to release live butterflies in the theatre. As it turned out, many of the butterflies didn't transport too well to Los Angeles, and the gimmick fell flat.

She was eliminated shortly after. The second lipsync, between Aquaria and Eureka, involved Janet Jackson's "If" and resulted in a tie.
10. Which queen won "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 10 and became 'America's Next Drag Superstar'?

Answer: Aquaria

The final lipsync (for the crown!) was the first instance in which a final three did so live, and Aquaria, Eureka, and Kameron Michaels ended up performing to Jessie J's "Bang Bang" (feat. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj). The performance was one for the ages with Eureka and Kameron providing strong reveals, Aquaria using simple props, and all three turning out energized acrobatic moves for the crowd. Ultimately, Aquaria wowed RuPaul the most to take the title, the crown, the $100,000 prize, and the one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics.
