1. Julia Child has hosted many cooking shows, but can you identify which of these was the first?

Answer: The French Chef

Julia Child is certainly credited with the creation and hosting of the first cooking show, "The French Chef". She was an example to many that French cooking was something that could be done by most home cooks. Because the show was broadcast live, the mistakes made were broadcast as well, and she would react with aplomb as she rectified the mistake. Julia would always sign off with "Bon appetit".

Answer: Choccywoccydoodah

"Choccywoccydoodah" started airing on television in 2011 and featured chocolate sculptures in completely unique designs. Such was the popularity of the television series, and Brighton store, that a new place was opened in the heart of London.

Answer: Two Fat Ladies

In addition their TV appearances, they also produced four cookbooks with many of the recipes from their shows. Their shows have also been shown in the U.S. on Food Network and Cooking Channel.

The cooks with the least flavoursome dishes faced elimination. Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris are famous in their own rights as they both own restaurants in Australia.

Rachael Ray hosted "30 Minute Meals" from 2001 to 2008, and won the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Outstanding Service Show in 2006. She is unpretentious and uses many homey phrases such as "sammies", "yum-o", and "E-E-V-O" during the show.

Her show "Rachael Ray's Week in a Day" focused on a day of cooking that could then be used for meals for the remainder of the week.

Madhur Jaffrey was born in 1933 and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London before marrying and moving to New York. She wrote several successful cookbooks about Indian and Asian food and became a popular television show presenter after her first show aired in 1982, "Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cookery".

Bobby actually seems to lose more often than he wins, and always wants to know "For all you awesome cooks out there, are you ready for a throwdown?"
