We find this out in the episode "Their Story". In a funny bit of conversation, a patient says "Dr. Quinlan?" When Todd doesn't respond, Turk says "That's you".

2. In "My Identity Crisis", we find out many of the minor characters' real names. Which of the following is NOT learned from this episode?

Answer: The Janitor's real name is Tom

There is a popular myth floating around that a clip from an episode states a character once said to the Janitor "Good one, Tom". It has been confirmed that the character in this clip is actually saying "Good one, you tell 'em". So, the Janitor's real name has never been revealed in the entire first 7 seasons, although they have promised to reveal his true name in season 8, now on ABC. Update: In the episode "My Finale", the janitor reveals his name as Glen Matthews.

However, after he states this, another character refers to him as "Tommy", so we never REALLY end up knowing his name.
