In the opening scene Amy's mother is in the kitchen when Amy gets home in her marching band uniform and her French horn in it. She goes straight to the bathroom to take her pregnancy test out of her French horn, and after taking it she discovers she is pregnant.

Adrian Lee is the majorette for the marching band, so yes she walks around through out school a lot with her baton, but every so often drops it off at her locker. Adrian is also the promiscuous sophomore girl that is with the promiscuous boy, Ricky.

In this episode, Henry asks Alice "Why not?" Alice responds with "Because one, you always lose, and two it objectifies Amy, who's a person and not a horse, and three because winning is an obsession with Ben and he will stop at nothing." Regardless of what Alice has to say, they still make the bet.

This is right before Amy reveals to both Lauren and Madison that she is pregnant. And needless to say they are shocked. Lauren is the best friend who has her head on very straight, she is sensible, logical, and rational.

Madison and Lauren tell her this plan at the party at Grace's church. The entire school is there, and Amy is there with Ben. They tell her to get him to fall in love with her, have sex with him, tell him she is pregnant, and then get him to marry her.
