Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to Kramer, in the first show, what job did he "almost" get?

Answer: a lawyer

In "Good News, Bad News", Jerry said Kramer wasn't allowed to be in his apartment because a girl was coming to stay over a few days. She decided not to come so Kramer thought it'd be best for him to talk to her, since he was "almost" a lawyer.

Kramer: "Do you want me to talk to her?"
Jerry: "I don't think so."
Kramer: "Oh, I can be very persuasive. Do you know that I was almost a lawyer?"
2. What was the first job of George's the audience was introduced to in the first season?

Answer: real estate

Kramer mentioned George's real estate job and asked George to keep him posted about getting some commercial estate. George quit his real estate job in the second season.
3. Throughout the whole nine seasons, Jerry was never out of work.

Answer: True

This was obvious because in almost every show he was always doing his stand up comedy. He was the only one out of the four to actually hold a job.
4. What occupation did Elaine have at Pendant Publishing?

Answer: reading manuscripts

In "The Jacket", the audience met Alton Benes (Elaine's father) for the first time. Alton asked Elaine what she did for a living and she said she worked at Pendant, reading manuscripts. Elaine kept the Pendant job until the end of season five, where the company (desperate to stay alive), unfortunately, was rejected for a partnership with a Japanese conglomerate, courtesy of Elaine and her Jujifruits.
5. In "The Alternate Side", what temporary job does George land?

Answer: parking cars

George took the job of parking cars because the regular for that job (Sid) had to go see relatives out of state. George did a horrible job and ended up causing problems for all the other main characters.
6. In "The Keys", Kramer traveled to Los Angeles, California to become an _____.

Answer: actor

Kramer dreamed of becoming an actor and becoming famous. Unfortunately, he was also accused of being a serial killer. Los Angeles wasn't the place for him so he decided to go back to New York City.
7. What kind of volunteer service did Jerry, Elaine, and George sign up for in "The Old Man"?

Answer: helping senior citizens

Jerry, Elaine, and George signed up to help senior citizens in daily activities like taking walks, getting something to eat, etc. Unfortunately for them, Jerry's person was senile, Elaine's person had a huge goiter sticking out of her neck, and George's person fired him.
8. In one episode, Jerry ran into one of his former college classmates, Diane DeConn. Daine asked what George did for a living and, to save face for George, Jerry made up George's occupation. What was this made up occupation?

Answer: marine biologist

In "The Marine Biologist", Jerry told Diane that George was a marine biologist, to avoid telling Diane the truth. George then had to make up stories for what he did as a marine biologist. In one of the scenes, there was a beached whale that needed to be saved. Since George was the only "marine biologist" around, he went and saved the whale.
9. What job does George land in "The Opposite"?

Answer: working for the New York Yankees

In "The Opposite" George landed a job with the New York Yankees by just telling the truth about how Steinbrenner was making the Yankees look bad. Because of his courage, Steinbrenner wanted George hired.

Jerry: "Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Costanza!"
10. How did Elaine meet J. Peterman, ultimately landing her a job working for the J. Peterman catalogue?

Answer: she ran into J. Peterman on the streets

In "The Understudy", Elaine got kicked out of a Korean salon. As she wandered the streets blindly, she ran into J. Peterman who commented on her coat. After asking how he knew so much about it, he told her he was J. Peterman. They went out for a drink and Elaine showed him her skills at creating articles for clothing. Impressed, Peterman asked her to work for him.
