Answer: Rose

The Doctor says this when he meets Rose in episode 1 of series 1 of the new series. The episode was imaginatively titled Rose. The Doctor was sending Rose home after some living Autons had attacked them, when he went back into the room and asked his name.

Answer: I'm talking to a twig.

This was on Rose's first trip with the Doctor. He takes her to the year 5.5/apple/26 (5 billion years in the future) to see the sun expand, causing the end of the world. Amazingly, things don't go to plan, and Rose ends up nearly being burnt to death by the sun, soon after she says this.

3. This quote is from "The Doctor Dances" (1.10). Who says this? 'Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks, "Oooh, this could be a little more sonic'?"

Answer: Captain Jack

Captain Jack says this after comparing sonic items with the Doctor. Apparently Jack's can function as a sonic blaster, sonic cannon, and a triple enfolded sonic disruptor, while the Doctor just has a sonic screwdriver.

4. From "The Doctor Dances" (1.10). What is Dr Constantine's response to a lady who says this? "My leg's grown back! When I come to the hospital, I had one leg!"

Answer: Well, there is a war on. Is it possible you miscounted?

When the Doctor reprogrammed the nanogenes to heal people instead of turning them into empty children, he heals all of the people who had been in Dr Constantine's hospital. This lady was one of the luckier ones.

5. From "The Doctor Dances" (1.10) What is Rose's response to the Doctor when he says this? "History says there was an explosion here. Who am I to argue with history?"

Answer: Usually the first in line.

The Doctor says this after everyone has been healed by the nanogenes. This was the 8th adventure we see Rose go on with the Doctor, and he'd argued with history in all of them. It is the eighth adventure because while it is episode ten, there had already been 2 two-part adventures.

6. This is a scene in "Boom Town" (1.11). This scene cracks me up. The first time the Slitheen teleports, Jack says "She's got a teleport! That's cheating! Now we'll never get her!" Rose responds by saying "Oh, the Doctor's very good at teleports." Another highlight of this episode is Rose learning how to say "Raxacoricofallapatorius" again.

7. From "Bad Wolf" (1.12). What is Jack's response when he is told by a programmer in Satellite 5 that "Archive six is out-of-bounds"?

When he says this he is holding his dual machine gun. I don't think he looks like an out-of-bounds sort of guy, really. This happens after Jack escapes from the "What Not To Wear" show.

Answer: Coward. Any day.

As the Doctor says this, he steps away from the leaver he was going to push to kill the Daleks. The real reason he didn't kill them was that by killing the Daleks he would also kill all the humans, as he didn't have time to refine his weapon. He chose not to sacrifice the humans.

Answer: So was I!

As soon as he finishes saying "I" he regenerates into the Tenth Doctor. The Doctor had just explained to Rose that there was a way that he could stop the Time Vortex from killing him. "Time Lords have this little trick, it's sort of a way of cheating death. Except.... it means I'm gonna change. And you're not gonna see me again.

Not like this. Not with this daft old face". He then began to say "Before I go" but she cut him off, not wanting him to say "that".
