The makers of "She-Ra" thought that they should not differentiate the appearance between Adora and She-Ra too much as they were afraid their young audience would get confused by this. Despite the obvious similarities between the two women and Adora and She-Ra never being seen in the same place together, only three other people in Etheria know that She-Ra is also Adora.

Answer: She-Ra is He-Man's twin sister

In a plot hatched by Hordak and aided by Skeletor, Adora was kidnapped from her family in Eternia when she and Adam were just babes. She was raised among the Horde under the fatherly tutelage of Hordak and was a functioning part of the Horde forces. When He-Man came to Etheria, Adora was part of the Horde troops that captured him. During He-man's captivity, he convinced Adora to go out and see what the Horde was really up to. Adora's naive belief in the good of the Horde was shattered when she snuck away from the Horde's headquarters and saw first hand the cruelty and injustice that was the Horde's true work.

She then freed He-Man and escaped with him to the rebel camp where she became the leader, and the rest as they say is history.

Answer: The Great Rebellion

Glimmer was originally the leader of The Great Rebellion which she had established following the mysterious disappearance of her father and mother. However she gives up her title to Adora, when her mother was rescued by He-Man and She-Ra.

Answer: The Whispering Woods

The Whispering Woods is a vast forest and is home to the Rebels. It is also where Madame Razz's home is and the Twigget village. It is bordered by the Kingdom of Brightmoon to the south, Mystacor to the west, Crimson Waste to the north-west, and the Singing River to the north-east.

The forest is hidden by an enchantment cast by the mysterious First Ones. Glimmer set up the Rebellion within these woods due to their close proximity to her native home, Brightmoon.

Although Broom seems to be a character in his own right, most sources state that Madame Razz, Kowl and Light Hope are the only ones who know Adora's secret. Loo-Kee learns the identities of Prince Adam and Adora in one episode.

Answer: Spirit & Swiftwind

Before Adora found her alter ego, Spirit was an ordinary horse. However, during her escape from the Horde Spirit ends up being transformed by the same energy field as Adora. Enter Swiftwind, a winged unicorn with the power of speech and super horse strength.

Answer: Loo-Kee

Loo-Kee is from a race known as the Conceals. His action figure wasn't released until the third season of "She-Ra Princess of Power" and is one of the rarest on the market. The Loo-Kee action figure was mainly released in Europe and Canada.

Answer: Battle Cat

Battle Cat is of course He Man's animal companion. Hordak is the leader of the Horde who seems to find new and more devilish ways to destroy the rebellion and cause more suffering to the people of Etheria. Shadow Weaver is a fallen Sorceress from Mysticor, formerly known as Light Spinner.

She was responsible for a mind control spell that had helped to keep Adora passive during her time with the Horde. Catra is a shape changing nemesis to She-Ra. She possessed a magical mask that would transform her into a giant cat.

Answer: I am She-Ra!

The beginning of the cartoon series, apart from the first few episodes began with "I am Adora. He-Man's twin sister and defender of the Crystal Castle. This is Spirit my beloved steed. Fabulous secrets were revealed to me the day I held aloft my sword and said "For the honor of Greyskull! I am She-Ra."

Answer: Mantenna, Grizzlor & Leech

Mantenna, Grizzlor and Leech are of course part of the Horde. Leech, is able to suck the energy out of his victim rendering them powerless to escape. Mantenna is well known for his eyes which pop out and shoot energy beams. His character differs between the cartoon series and the comics. In the cartoon he is portrayed as a stammering, incompetent idiot whereas in the comic he is a capable and cunning threat against the rebellion. He-Man's Beastman bore a striking resemblance to She-Ra's Grizzlor, a hairy bearlike beast.

It's amazing how much thought went into the names of the characters... not. But no matter how camp most of the cartoon series was, it will always remain one of my favourites and I hope yours!
