Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Finding himself with a new commodity, Cartman went through the phone book, contacting medical research groups regarding the fetuses. What did he haggle with his contacts over on the phone?

Answer: price

Cartman launched into his new endeavor just as if it were any other sales business. He went back and forth between buyers, trying to get the most money for his product, even using lines like "I'm just like the fetuses, [...] I wasn't born yesterday, either." Eventually he struck a deal that he was satisfied with.
2. After the government banned stem cell research and Cartman's deal with Alder Research Group fell through, what did he try to sell the fetuses as?

Answer: shrimp

He managed to sell one of the fetuses to another researcher, and then resorted to pitching Captain Bly's Seafood Restaurant: "I've got a shipment of about 31 of the most succulent shrimp from the West Indies... These are killer shrimp, Gary, your customers are gonna love 'em." Unfortunately, Cartman didn't seemed thrilled about the market price for "succulent shrimp" and determined to call the restaurant back.
3. Did Cartman cry after visiting Kenny in the hospital?

Answer: yes

Cartman seemed genuinely crushed by Kenny's impending death, even confiding that he'd always thought of Kenny as his best friend. When he left Kenny to sleep, he started crying in the hallway and he and Kyle had a tender moment consoling one another.
4. Explaining stem cells to Cartman, what did the researcher say they'd regrown for their experimental rat?

Answer: spine

Cartman was trying to find a way to save Kenny and returned to Alder Research Group:
Cartman: "Doctor, can you tell me exactly how stem cells work?"
Researcher: "Look, you have trillions of cells in your body: heart cells, skin cells, brain cells, and so on. But before a cell is designated as a toenail cell or a pancreas cell, it's what we call a stem cell. Sort of like a blank cell. Do you understand?"
Cartman: "Not at all, but go on."
Researcher: ""Because these cells are blanks, they will often program themselves based on what cells you put around them. You see this rat? Earlier this year, we surgically removed the middle of her spine. Then we injected her with some stem cells and they became the missing part of her spine."
Cartman: "My God..."
Researcher: "Nerve cells damaged by Parkinson's disease or heart tissue of cardiac patients might ultimately be replaced by tissue grown from stem cells."
Cartman: "So then, could stem cells be used on someone whose muscle tissue is wasting away? In other words, if a little boy was dying from a muscular disease, the stem cells could become new muscle tissue."
Researcher: "That's the theory."
Cartman: "Well, so then, if the stem cells are placed next to a Shakey's Pizza, they would become another Shakey's Pizza! And you'd have your own Shakey's Pizza where you didn't have to charge yourself to eat!"
Researcher: "Well, no. To build another Shakey's it would be better to use lumber."
5. Who did the Make-A-Wish Foundation bring to meet Kenny?

Answer: Madonna

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation people arrived, they asked Kenny, "If you could have one wish, what would it be?" Kenny responded that his wish would be "not to die." There was an awkward silence while the Make-A-Wish Foundation people tried to think of how to proceed, and the woman eventually asked what Kenny's second wish would be.

The man suggested meeting Madonna, but Kenny declared (as translated by Kyle), "Madonna is an old anorexic whore who wore out her welcome years ago, and [...] now she suddenly speaks with a British accent and she thinks she can play guitar and she should [go away]." Unfortunately, Madonna was already there, asking if it was time for her to make her entrance, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation people were forced to tell her to stay in the hall!
6. Consoling Stan, how did Chef characterize God?

Answer: vengeful

Stan didn't understand why God would take his friend away, and Chef did his best to explain:
Chef: "Stan, sometimes God takes those closest to us, because it makes him feel better about himself. He is a very vengeful god, Stan. He's all pissed off about something we did thousands of years ago. He just can't get over it, so he doesn't care who he takes. Children, puppies, it don't matter to him, so long as it makes us sad. Do you understand?"
Stan: "But then, why does God give us anything to start with?"
Chef: "Well, look at it this way: if you want to make a baby cry, first you give it a lollipop. Then you take it away. If you never give it a lollipop to begin with, then it would have nothin' to cry about. That's like God, who gives us life and love and help just so that he can tear it all away and make us cry, so he can drink the sweet milk of our tears. You see, it's our tears, Stan, that give God his great power."
7. What did Cartman inspire Congress to do with him?

Answer: sing

He made a heartfelt speech about his friend Kenny, trying to convince Congress to make stem cell research legal again. When he started to cry, Cartman announced that he could best express his thoughts with "the words of a timeless song." He then broke out singing Asia's "Heat of the Moment" and the members of Congress slowly joined in until the entire room was filled with song and Congress was performing the moves and swaying with the beat!
8. After getting stem cell research legalized, did Cartman pay women to have abortions?

Answer: yes

He stood outside Unplanned Parenthood and offered women $75 for their aborted fetuses. He even convinced one pregnant woman who'd planned to have her child to give it up in the name of research!
9. What were Kenny's dying words?

Answer: "Where's Stan?"

After having avoided Kenny for so long, Stan had a change of heart and rushed to the hospital with a gift only to find Kenny had already died. As though Stan didn't already feel guilty enough, Kyle told him that Kenny's last words had been used wondering where Stan was!
10. What did Cartman do with the stem cells he'd collected?

Answer: built a Shakey's

Cartman pulled Stan and Kyle out of Kenny's funeral service to show them the "miracle." He explained, "I put the stem cells from all the fetuses I had next to a Shakey's, and they ARE replicating a new Shakey's! It worked! [...] I think I only need a hundred or so more aborted babies, and I can finish up the kitchen." Kyle was furious to realize that Cartman had faked his concern for Kenny just to get his own pizza place, but Stan was relieved to know he hadn't been Kenny's worst friend after all!
