Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In which small Nevada town did the episode open?

Answer: Pahrump

The police station of Pahrump, Nevada, 60 miles west of Las Vegas, was the setting for the opening scene of the episode. Danny, Jack, Simon, a corporate lawyer and a Chinese businessman and his daughter were all on hand as Tom sat handcuffed.
2. As Harriet and her friends exited a Hollywood diner, members from what group approach her?

Answer: Gay Hooligans

Harriet was approached by a group of young men who asked her to autograph her newest Christian music CD. After complying with their request, they smashed and stomped the disc and verbally abused her for her earlier comment to a reporter that according to the Bible, homosexuality was a sin.
3. For which of the following criminal acts was Tom not charged?

Answer: Shoplifting

Tom was also charged for failing to appear and answer the charges, all stemming from a speeding ticket. Tom claimed to have forgotten all about the incident in Pahrump.
4. Tom was in costume at the time of his arrest. What person was he imitating?

Answer: Jesus Christ

When the authorities took Tom away to face charges in Nevada he was dressed as Jesus, clad in a burlap shepherd's costume. Because of the sleeveless and short outfit, Tom had borrowed a jacket from Simon.
5. What did the police find in the pocket of the jacket Tom was wearing?

Answer: Joint

Tom had borrowed Simon's coat before his arrest at the studio. A search at the Pahrump police station revealed a partially smoked joint indicating that the illegal drug had been used, and the use of marijuana was a felony in Nevada.
6. What was the judge doing when he was summoned to the police station?

Answer: Fishing

Pahrump's judge, played by guest star John Goodman, did not hide his dislike of the satirical "Studio 60". He first wanted to know who was having the bad day, because "it's about to get worse." He later instructed the NBS attorney to shut up, lest he order "Deputy Boone to shoot him in the ankles".
7. What instrument did the Chinese girl Kim play?

Answer: Viola

Kim's father, a Chinese billionaire businessman, encouraged his daughter to play the viola rather than the violin. His reasoning was that there were fewer viola players and that his daughter would have a better chance for success in the music world.
8. How fast was Tom allegedly driving when he was ticketed for speeding in a 65 mile per hour speed zone?

Answer: 120

The grossly excessive rate of speed was the reason that the charge was upgraded to reckless endangerment, causing Tom to be legally extradited to Nevada.
9. What color was Jack's American Express card?

Answer: Black

Jack attempted to intimidate the small-town judge by offering to make a $1 million bail bond with his upscale credit card.
10. A photograph of which comedian adorned the wall of Matt's office?

Answer: Woody Allen

The Oscar-winning Allen has written, directed and/or produced dozens of films and television programs beginning with the 1950s "The Colgate Comedy Hour." His first screenplay was "What's New, Pussycat" in 1965.
