1. The episode opened with Kara drained of her powers.

Answer: True

Carrying over from the end of the previous episode, Kara had somehow been drained of her powers.

During this episode she was as vulnerable as a human for most of it. For the first time in her life she caught a cold, got a paper cut and had no use of her powers.

James Olsen told her that the same thing happened to Superman from time to time after he overused his powers.

2. What happened to Kara during the earthquake?

Answer: She broke her arm.

Being powerless, when the earthquake hit Kara was able to be injured like anyone else. She broke her left arm and had to wear it in a sling for about half of the episode.

Despite her injury and lack of powers, she attempted to help people still as both Supergirl and as Kara.

3. What was the name of the escaped alien prisoner?

Jem had several powers that made him a formidable foe, including his ability to overcome mind control and camouflage.
