Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Superman rescued Kara in the opening scene.

Answer: False

The opening scene was Lena Luthor and the Damxamite queen, Rhea, in a bedroom. Superman wasn't featured in the episode until the final seconds.

After the scene with Lena, the show flipped to a scene with the Daxamite invasion in full force.
2. What did Rhea declare the new name for Earth?

Answer: New Daxam

She told her son that she planned to built up the Earth just like their home planet was before it was destroyed. She said she brought a ship full of the planet's best to help terraform the new planet.
3. Who did Rhea pick as a bride for Mon-El?

Answer: Lena

Lena Luthor, who had unwittingly helped Rhea bring the invasion to Earth, had been selected as the bride to help smooth over relations between Earth and the Daxamites.

Mon-El, Rhea's son, wasn't happy about it, knowing that Lena and Kara (Supergirl) were good friends.
4. Which formerly exiled character returned to help fight the aliens?

Answer: Lillian Luthor

Lillian Luthor, Lena's mother, returned from exile, to both gloat that she was right about aliens invading Earth, and to offer assistance.

Earlier in the season she had tried to frame Lena for her own crimes and escaped from prison.

Cat Grant also returned, but hadn't been exiled.
5. Where was the president of the U.S. when she reached out to Rhea?

Answer: Flying toward the alien leader's ship

The president turned out to be an alien, as was discovered when Airforce 1 was shot down.

Cat Grant's only response was "Please tell me you're still a Democrat."
Played by Lynda Carter, the character was a Durlan, a race of pacifist shape shifters.

Supergirl had saved Cat, and not the president when the plane was shot down.
6. Cat Grant revealed the real reason she left National City earlier in the season. That was because Siri told her which country was the happiest place on Earth?

Answer: Bhutan

She told Supergirl that she wasn't happy in National City anymore. She asked Siri and was told that Bhutan was the happiest place on Earth, so she booked a flight and moved into a yurt.

Cat said there is nothing in a yurt, not even central air conditioning, but the people are happy.
7. Who had the Phantom Zone projector?

Answer: Superman

Superman had it hidden in the Fortress of Solitude. While he didn't appear in the episode until the very end, the fortress was featured in a few scenes.

Cadmus needed access to the projector in order to get Supergirl on the alien ship.
8. What were the Daxamites susceptible to?

Answer: Lead

While Kryptonians can't see through lead, Daxamites can be killed by it.

The two races are both super powered under the yellow sun, but have different downfalls. A simple bullet can take out a Daxam soldier if well placed.
9. What stopped the wedding between Mon-El and his bride?

Answer: A video broadcast from Cat Grant

Cat went on a broadcast and demanded that everyone resist. Her speech was about how the invaders promised to make the world great again, while no knowing what it was that made the Earth great.

Her speech went on to talk about how Earthlings wouldn't be beaten into submission.
10. Supergirl and Mon-El were left to die on the ship. How did they survive?

Answer: They used a second controller.

Lillian, Metallo and Lena escaped the ship. Lillian told Lena that the rescue was humans only and told Metallo to shut down the machine.

Supergirl had a second controller and turned it on to send Mon-El off the ship, she stayed behind to try and get Rhea to surrender.
