"Supernatural" Season 9, Episodes 15 through 19 Quiz

Two humans were killing people. Ed (from the "Hell House" episode in season 1 and the "Ghostfacers" episode in season 3) created #Thinman online to convince his buddy Harry to keep searching for paranormal phenomena with him. Two humans, a sheriff's deputy and a waiter, then used the identity to kill people.

Answer: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb

Dean used these three names during the short conversation he and Sam had with Ed and Harry after they tracked the Ghostfacers down in a restaurant. The Winchesters tried to get them to leave town before they got somebody killed, but Ed and Harry refused to leave.

Sam looked up the Ghostfacers on Amazon and realized they wrote a book on the Thinman. Looking at a photo, he pointed out to Dean that it did "kind of look like" the figure in the selfie the dead girl had taken. Dean flippantly responded that it also looked like "Garth, if somebody shaved his face off," and capped off his comment with, "Big whoop." Dean was seriously not impressed, but rather annoyed, by the Ghostfacers.

Answer: Not Moose

Crowley's phone display revealed that Crowley had programmed "Not Moose" to show when Dean called him. The show has had fun with caller IDs. Back in season 8's "Clip Show", Crowley called Sam and the caller ID on Sam's phone was "666".

Answer: the King of Rotten

This was an amusing scene that occurred while the brothers and Crowley were waiting to meet the contact who they thought had the first blade. Sam noticed Crowley with his hand up the vending machine first, and asked his brother what Crowley was doing, although he clearly knew. Dean told him he was stealing candy, and both brothers took a moment to be disgusted before Dean yelled at Crowley.

Answer: Magnus

The brothers found the first blade in Cuthbert's possession during "Blade Runners". Cuthbert used the name Magnus to purchase the blade. The Winchesters recognized the name from their grandfather, Henry Winchester. In "As Time Goes By", Henry told them that Albert Magnus was the alias used by the Men of Letters. With this information, the Winchesters figured out they were searching for a Man of a Letters, and were then able to track down Cuthbert through research and information from Crowley.

Answer: Loss of their souls

Sam investigated the case of a grammar school teacher in Milton, Illinois, who killed her husband. He then discovered several other people in town acting violent and out of character, and recognized their affect from the time he was soulless in season 6. He eventually discovered that Abaddon was stealing souls and turning them into demons in order to create a demon army loyal to her.

Sam worked the case alone, since Dean refused to go with him. Dean told Sam he was doing research on Abaddon, but he spent most of his time drinking, and dealing with the effects of the Mark of Cain. Sam did get help on the case from a former nun named Julia, who told him about his grandfather working a case in the town when he was a Man of Letters. "Mother's Little Helper" was the first episode directed by Misha Collins, who played Castiel.

Answer: Castiel

At the beginning of the episode, there was no way to tell to whom he was speaking, and many viewers thought he was just speaking into the camera. Later in the episode, though, the scene was replayed, this time showing Castiel tied to a chair before Metatron, while Metatron told his story.

Answer: Gabriel

During "Meta Fiction", the archangel Gabriel popped out of a "Casa Erotica" movie to try to convince Castiel to lead angels against Metatron. Back in season 5, Gabriel tried to teach the Winchesters to play their roles during "Changing Channels". Castiel was briefly fooled by the manifestation during "Meta Fiction", until there was a "continuity error" - a tear in his raincoat no longer existed. "Supernatural" has a rich history of meta episodes, including "The French Mistake" from season 6, and this episode, with "Meta" in the title and Metatron writing his story, was a strong addition to this history.

Answer: Gadreel and Castiel

Gadreel was captured by Sam and Dean, and Castiel was captured by Metatron. The Winchesters had to let Gadreel go in order to get Castiel back. Dean did get to beat up the angel before the prisoner exchange, though.

Metatron got annoyed when Castiel did not understand his "Inspector Gregory" reference from "Sherlock Holmes". So, announcing that he knew it was "a bit of a retcon," he touched Castiel and gave him knowledge of every book, TV show and movie he had consumed in 2,000 years.

Sheriff Jody Mills called the Winchesters for help after she killed a vampire in her station. The brothers helped her clean out a nest and rescue a girl who had been kidnapped and raised by vampires.

Answer: Owen

"Owen" was on the wall, indicating that it was Owen's room. Owen was Jody's son, who had died and was raised from the dead during "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" during season 5. That was the first episode with Jody Mills.

Answer: She was cured of being a vampire and she was with Jody

The mother vampire turned her into a vampire, but since she had not yet fed and Jody killed the mother vampire, the brothers were able to cure her. The cure for vampirism was first revealed by Samuel Campbell in "Live Free or Twihard" in season 6, when Samuel used it to cure Dean. The brothers also used the cure to save a girl during season 8's "Freaks and Geeks".
