2. In "Survivor Smacked Me in the Chop", Zane from the Matsing tribe became the first contestant to be voted out of the game after his tribe lost the combined reward/immunity challenge to Kalabaw and Tandang. Each of the three tribes was represented by a different color, as depicted in the tribe's buff. Which of the following colors is NOT one of the colors used for this season?

Answer: Pink

The 18 contestants were divided into three tribes: Kalabaw (red), Matsing (blue), and Tandang (yellow). All the tribe names are of Filipino origin: kalabaw means water buffalo, matsing means monkey, and tandang means rooster.
3. In the second episode entitled "Don't be Blinded by the Headlights", Jonathan found the clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. The clue hinted that the idol was hidden right under everyone's nose. Jonathan spent a great deal of time finding the idol and he eventually found it. Interestingly, the idol was really "right under his nose". Where did he find the idol?

Answer: On the lid of a rice box

The Hidden Immunity Idol was actually the emblem on the lid of the rice box that each tribe had brought to their respective camp sites. Jonathan first found the clue inside the bag of rice. Having played "Survivor" twice, Jonathan was a very experienced player and he knew that the Hidden Immunity Idol would give him great power and control in the game.
4. The title of the second episode, "Don't be Blinded by the Headlights" was Denise's comment regarding the close relationship between her two tribemates, Malcolm and Angie. What did the pair do that angered Roxy, leading her to make the decision to vote one of them out if they lost the immunity challenge?

Answer: They cuddled at night

Because of the cold weather at night, Angie decided to sleep closer to Malcolm to get some warmth. However, Roxy interpreted this wrongly. She viewed Malcolm and Angie as a dangerous duo in the game. 5. In the third episode entitled "This Isn't a 'We' Game", the combined reward/immunity challenge required the contestants to dive in the ocean to retrieve puzzle wheels that would be used to solve a word puzzle. With only four members left, Matsing needed to win the challenge desperately, but the tribe lost again. Who were the two physically weak players that caused the loss?

At Tribal Council, a player made a poignant speech by saying that he/she almost died when he/she played the game last time. This player even reduced Angie to tears but later he/she apologized, saying, "I'm sorry I made you cry, that's the way this game seems to be playing and I have to play hard or go home." After their loss, Malcolm and Denise decided that the person that they should send home was either Angie or Russell. Even though Malcolm was close with Angie, he voted for her because he wanted to keep the stronger player, Russell in the game.
7. In the fourth episode entitled "Create a Little Chaos", part of the combined reward/immunity challenge required the players to swing a ball to break the pots. The Tandang tribe finished first, leaving Malcolm from Matsing and Jeff from Kalabaw battled for the second place to avoid the Tribal Council but unfortunately, Matsing lost the fourth challenge in a row. What was contained inside the pots?

Answer: Rice

The first part of the combined reward/immunity challenged required the tribe members to carry rice pots across an obstacle course by balancing them on their shoulders using only a bamboo pole. After all six pots of rice were placed in the assigned places, one player would smash the pots containing rice using a ball. Matsing started off great but the tribe fell behind as the challenge progressed.
8. In "Create a Little Chaos", Matsing was sent to Tribal Council for the fourth consecutive time. Interestingly, there were only three players (Denise, Malcolm, and Russell) left in the tribe so the votes were crucial. What was the outcome of the vote?

When the votes were read, Russell became the first returning player to be voted out in "Survivor: Philippines". During his interview, a saddened Russell said, "Right now, it's just utter shock. I was just completely blindsided. It's been a rough ten days weather-wise, dealing with my tribe which was definitely dysfunctional in so many different ways.

This is just the straw that breaks the camel's back, and it's obvious me and Survivor don't get along, so I think I'm done with this."
9. The title of the fifth episode, "Got My Swag Back", was Malcolm's delirious comment after he helped his new tribe win the reward challenge. Prior to the challenge, Malcolm and Denise found the Hidden Immunity Idol at their campsite. What did they do with the idol?

Answer: Malcolm kept the idol

With only two members left in the Matsing tribe, Denise anticipated that Malcolm and she would be absorbed into the other two tribes. Knowing that they would never return to their campsite again, they frantically searched for the Hidden Immunity Idol.

It was Malcolm who found the idol and he kept it. Before the reward challenge, Jeff asked them to drop their buffs. Malcolm joined Tandang whereas Denise joined Kalabaw.
10. In "Got My Swag Back", Dana from the Kalabaw tribe was not feeling well so the medical team was called in to assess her condition. The doctor said Dana's illness was not life-threatening and she could stay at the camp for another 12 hours to see if she got better. What was Dana's decision?

Answer: She quit the game.

Returning player and tribemate Jonathan said he knew how Dana felt because he had been in the same shoes before. Dana ultimately decided to quit the game.

At Tribal Council, Dawson became the first Kalabaw member to be voted out of the game. With five members left, Kalabaw was at a disadvantage compared to Tandang's seven-person tribe.
