Though Dr Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) shares the same name as the protagonist of the novels by Kathy Reichs, who is the show's producer, she is based on the life of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs herself, more so than the novels.

In the reverse, television's Temperance Brennan writes novels, whose protagonist is a character called Kathy Reichs. Another difference between the novels and the show is that Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) doesn't exist in the novels, instead Dr Brennan sees a possible relationship with Detective Andrew Ryan.

After playing criminal defense lawyer Perry Mason for nine seasons 1957 to 1966, actor Raymond Burr then followed it up with his portrayal of Ironside from 1967 to 1975 for eight seasons. From 1985 to 1995 he re-visited the character of Perry Mason in a series of 30 television films. For his long service as memorable characters, Raymond Burr was ranked #44 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time in 1996.

7. During an ambush, this detective takes a bullet, leaving him blind. He fights his way back onto the police force, through legal processes, but no-one wants him there. He is ultimately partnered with Detective Karen Bettancourt, who has her doubts about working with him due to his blindness, but she has to deal with his growing insecurities, as well.

Answer: Detective Jim Dunbar

Ron Eldard starred in "Blind Justice" which only ran for one season (thirteen episodes) in 2005. Though it had detractors stating "how can a blind man carry a gun", it did examine the issues of handicapped employees, with members of the Badger Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired finding it to be a realistic portrayal of what it is like to be blind.

This was the first ABC series to offer a video description via an auxiliary audio channel for the visually impaired (Secondary Audio Programming (SAP)).
8. When a criminal drama deals with an individual's personal issues none will beat "CSI". They all had some drama in their lives but which character had an abusive, alcoholic father, who was killed by his schizophrenic wife, Laura?

Answer: Sara Sidle

Grissom is socially inept and has to deal with potential hereditary deafness.
Catherine is divorced and can't seem to spend enough time with her daughter but that is nothing compared to the fact her father may be a member of the mob. Nick suffered child abuse and is claustrophobic. Warrick has a gambling addiction.
9. In which television series is Sherlock Holmes portrayed as a recovering drug addict who partners up with his sober companion, when he moves to New York City?

Answer: Elementary

"Elementary", an updated version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes, stars Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson. Answer: Dexter Morgan

Created by novelist Jeff Lindsay and played by award winning actor Michael C. Hall, Dexter Morgan will probably go down as one of the best characters that the world loved but in reality should have feared. Even though he is a fictional character, psychologists have tried to analyse and explain him, due to his social acceptance. Unfortunately several connections to "Dexter" have been indicated during criminal prosecutions, such as 17-year-old Andrew Conley, who indicated "Dexter" inspired him to strangle his 10-year-old brother and in Sweden, a 21-year-old woman is known as "the Dexter killer".
