Answer: Left hand

Starbug had crashed onto a psi-moon causing him to be trapped in the wreckage and Rimmer was taken. He took off his left hand and placed one of his eyes on the hand and sent it back to Red Dwarf.

2. Lister (typing on a screen): "Help! Something is crawling up my leg. I think it's a taranshula. [sic]" Cat (speaking): "You're playing that dumb adventure game." Cat didn't get it at first but looked on Lister's lap and saw the 'taranshula' (aka Kryten's hand). So they communicated via the computer and keyboard.
