When she goes to retrieve it, she notices a sketchbook and since it's an odd place to keep a sketchbook, she gets curious and flips through it. The majority of the book is filled with sketches of her, in and out of the future Little Miss Vixen role.

She doesn't have time to look at it without drawing suspicion from Seth and Zach so she slips it in her bag and leaves.
