Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The teams had to fly from London, England to Kingston, Jamaica. What time was the earliest flight to Jamaica?

Answer: 12:40 PM

There was over six hours prior to the flight when the first team arrived at the airport to get their tickets. The three remaining teams were all on this flight which was on Jamaica Air.
2. In the roadblock "Dance the Limbo", how many chances did the person performing the roadblock have to limbo under the bar and get it as low as they could?

Answer: 8

There were five notches that the bar could be on. Each notch represented the time the teams could leave the roadblock to go to their next clue. Each notch was 15 minutes apart. Uchenna and Joyce left the roadblock 15 minutes after the first two teams.
3. In the detour "Raft It and Build It", all the teams participated in the same task.

Answer: True

All three teams performed "Build It". The teams had to build a raft then cross the river. In "Raft It" the teams had to travel eight miles down a river. Uchenna and Joyce were the last team to arrive at the roadblock but finished the roadblock second.
4. When the teams left the roadblock in Jamaica, they had to go to the next pit stop. How many teams had to stop for gas?

Answer: 3

Uchenna and Joyce were the first team to leave the gas station. On the way to the pit stop Rob and Amber got stopped for a routine police check point, Uchenna and Joyce got a flat tire.
5. Ron and Kelly arrived at the pit stop first in Jamaica.

Answer: True

Uchenna and Joyce finished last but this leg was a non-elimination leg. They remained in the race but had to give up all their money and all their possessions other than their passports and the clothes they were wearing.
6. To start the final leg of the race, the teams had to take a bag of onions and take them to a restaurant and chop them to receive their next clue. How many onions were in the bag of onions?

Answer: 50

The teams were given $445 and Uchenna and Joyce were given no money for the final leg. Uchenna and Joyce went to the airport to beg for money they found a person that took them there. The airport was in the opposite direction of where they had to go for the bag of onions.
7. In the detour "Pony Up or Tee It Up", how many teams selected to perform "Tee It Up"?

Answer: 3

"In Pony Up", the teams had to participate in a sport known as horseback swimming. The teams had to ride the horses into the ocean, when the horses started swimming they had to slide off and hold on the tail. They had to go around buoys before they went back to shore.

In "Tee It Up", the teams had to go to a golf course, choose a set of clubs and appropriate attire; they then go to a driving range and have to aim for a 16 foot area which was 140 feet away. The teams alternated on who hit.
8. The teams flew from Jamaica to Puerto Rico. Did any two teams catch the same flight?

Answer: No

The teams were all on separate flights. Ron and Kelly had a slight chance to get on the same plane as Rob and Amber but were not able to get to the gate on time. Even though Uchenna and Joyce were several hours behind the other teams, they all had to wait until the place opened so it was once again an even race.
9. Uchenna and Joyce were the last team to start the roadblock "Jump off Bridge".

Answer: False

In the roadblock "Jump off Bridge", the person performing the roadblock had to jump off a 30 foot bridge, and then swim 90 yard to get their next clue. A boat would then drive them back to shore.
10. Uchenna and Joyce finished first when they got on the mat at the finish line in Miami, Florida.

Answer: False

The finish line was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Uchenna and Joyce refused to finish the race before they made the cab driver's fee. They were begging for money until they had enough to satisfy the cab driver. They did not pay him what they owed but he was satisfied with what they paid him.
