Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. After bargaining with her boss in "Let's Call It Quits", Roseanne behaves herself for the greater good. Her boss, Faber, assumes this means she is easily broken and re-assigns the entire shift to produce how many units to get to their quota?

Answer: 8,000

The women all know they can never make the quota without staying at work well past their normal shift time. Roseanne agrees to treat Faber with respect in order to have the units lowered. He does this, but as soon as he sees that she's caved in, he ups it back to 8,000. Faber, played by for Senator Fred Thompson, was definitely no Booker.
2. How many women do we see punch their very last time card at the end of the season one finale?

Answer: 5

Roseanne tells Faber he can have his job. She quits Wellman Plastics with a swipe of her time card and Jackie, Vonda, older lady and Crystal all follow. Out of Roseanne, Jackie, Vonda and Crystal, Roseanne is the last to find her next real job. She is hired briefly to work for Muriel in season two, but cannot accept the job after all. In between these two events she also does some at home magazine sells for the Magazine Discount House.
Roseanne ends her job at Wellman Plastics with this line to Faber, "I guess we're not gonna make our quota today, honey bunch."
3. In the season two premier, "Inherit the Wind", Becky has a new male interest. What is his name?

Answer: Jimmy

Jimmy Meltrigger is a Junior and the corner back of the Varsity football team. Initially Dan thinks Becky said Jimmy was the quarter back, but Jimmy corrects that when he comes over to get Becky for their first date. Dan remarks that he feels better knowing Becky is dating a boy who plays defense instead of offense. Stephen Dorff plays Jimmy.
4. When Becky made her 'boom boom' infront of the entire student council, was she engaged in a student debate?

Answer: No

She was actually up there to give a report, which turned out to be opinion based. We never hear the topic of her report, just that it is her expressing her opinion on some subject. Darlene races home to report the wind breaking episode to her parents. She heard it about third hand, as she is in junior high at this point and Becky in high school.
5. Who sends Becky a greeting card expressing sympathy about her incident in front of the student council?

Answer: Crystal

Crystal is so thoughtful. If there is a card out there, Crystal will be the one to find it.
6. In season two, episode three "Guilt By Disassociation", Dan walks in from work and says "Hey babe, how's it goin'?" What response did he get from Roseanne and DJ in unison?

Answer: "Death."

Michael Fishman is grinning while he says this with Roseanne, so I assumed they'd had to practice getting it just right. He looks so cute when he says it. DJ had been helping Roseanne by dialing up phone numbers on her list from the Magazine Discount House. Roseanne had just flubbed up her delivery to the customer, so DJ just hangs the phone up for her and smiles. Dan walks into the kitchen right after this and the above exchange occurred.
7. "Guilt By Disassociation"- In this early season two episode, what is the name of the disgruntled personnel director that interviews Roseanne for a job?

Answer: Muriel

Muriel was a bit jaded and had some disparaging words for Roseanne's friends that worked at the same company. She called Phil Greene as smooth as a baby's bottom and said Vonda was so perky she wanted to drive a nail through her head. Madge Sinclair played Muriel. Madge appeared in 1988's "Coming To America".

She played the mother of Eddie Murphy's character. Sadly, Madge passed away in 1995 from Leukemia. She was 57 years old.
8. "Guilt By Disassociation"- Did Roseanne end up with the job she interviewed for?

Answer: No

Muriel hired Roseanne very quickly, despite their apparent lack of understanding. Unfortunately, Roseanne's lack of computer skills prevented her from maintaining the job.
9. "Guilt By Disassociation"- What was the name of the man Roseanne would be working for, if she did get hired?

Answer: Ivan Pit Voorhies

Muriel tells Roseanne that the position does not really exist. She is interviewing for the secretary to Mr. Ivan Pit Voorhies. She asked Roseanne, "Did you ever think you'd work for a man named Pit Voorhies?"
10. "Guilt By Disassociation"- Which of her family members is the first to hear about the results of Roseanne's interview?

Answer: Dan

Roseanne called Dan from Muriel's office to happily announce that she'd been hired. Dan is also the first person to hear the news that she could not keep the job. He heard this after Roseanne returned home to find he and Jackie had arranged a celebration.
