Caroline's first day did not get off to a good start when she was late to work, having spent the night in her car as she couldn't gain access to her brother's house. Caroline was played by Tamsin Greig (born in 1967), who has also starred in "Black Books" (2000-2004).
2. What was the name of the sexy male doctor who had blonde (or ginger, depending who you asked) hair, a secretive first name and rode a motor bike?

Answer: Dr. Macartney "Mac"

He was only known as Dr. Macartney, or Mac for short. He was a laid back person who liked to wind the other doctors up. Sadly, it was found out at the end of series two that he was going to die. Mac was played by Julian Rhind-Tutt who has had appearances in "Black Books" (2000-2004) and "Crooked House" (2008).

Answer: Dr. Guy Secretan

Guy was played by actor Stephen Mangan who has also been in "Episodes" (2011). Guy had a colourful time in "Green Wing" (2004-2006). He slept with his own mother (they didn't know they were mother and son at the time) and found out he had a half brother working at the same hospital with him.
4. Pippa Haywood played this character. She was the mother of two of the doctors at the hospital (she found out about the second one just after she slept with him). What was her character's name?

Answer: Joanna Clore

Joanna was a strange character who had a secret affair with one of the consultants and also had two children both working at the hospital. She was involved with the murder of her dwarf cousin and went on the run with another character. She was played by Pippa Haywood (born in 1961 in London, England) who was also known for her character, Helen Brittas, in "The Brittas Empire" (1991-1997).
5. Which character was always being riled by one of the student doctors?

Answer: Dr. Alan Statham

Dr. Alan Statham was wound up by a particular student doctor all the time. However, by the end of the series it was clear that they actually liked and missed each other. They did also end up in bed together at one point and the student doctor also purchased Dr. Statham in a charity auction for £0.30! Statham was the secret lover of Joanna Clore, whom he ran away with after killing her dwarf cousin. Dr. Alan Statham was played by Mark Heap, who has since been in "Lark Rise to Candleford" (2008-2011) alongside Dawn French and Olivia Hallinan.
6. What was the name of the student doctor who was a major annoyance in the teaching doctor's life?

Answer: Boyce

Boyce was always winding Dr. Statham up. He took great pleasure in ruining the tutorials for the doctor and making a fool out of him. She was played by Olivia Colman, who has made appearances in "The Office" (2002) and also "That Mitchell and Webb Look" (2006-2008).
