Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What movie was Barry watching in the opening scene?

Answer: Singing in the Rain

"Everything's better in song," he told his friends. He was upset over breaking off the engagement with Iris in a previous episode and watching the same movie he has seen with his mother as a child.
2. Supergirl was unconscious when she arrived in Barry's dimension.

Answer: True

She had been knocked unconscious during the final scene of a previous episode of her own show, when she appeared in this episode she was already unconscious.

The members of Barry's team were tasked with helping Supergirl, and with finding the man who had made her that way.
3. Barry and Kara (Supergirl) were both put into a shared dream-state. Which one of them turned out to be a singer during that dream?

Answer: Both

When Barry arrived in the dream, Kara was already in it and performing a song on stage. He recognized her immediately, making viewers realize he had at least some if not all of his memories.

The actors who played Barry and Kara had starred on "Glee" before getting their roles as superheroes.
4. Who was the villain of the episode?

Answer: Music Meister

He was able to hypnotize them and place them into the shared dream state. HE appeared to them in the dream, and told them they had to get to the end of the plot before they would wake up in the real world. The caveat was that if they died in the dream, they would die in the real world as well.
5. Who played the episode's villain?

Answer: Darren Criss

Criss was also a "Glee" alum who had a music background. He played the character who had only been done in comics and animated television prior to this live-action appearance. Neil Patrick Harris had previously done the voice on the animated version.
6. Barry and Kara both lost their powers during the episode.

Answer: True

While they were in the dream state, neither had their powers. They figured that out in their first encounter with the crime boss they worked for within the dream. Kara later mentioned that she missed being bullet proof when they had guns pointed at them.
7. Cast members from which other shows that share the same television universe also appeared in the episode?

Answer: "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow"

The four shows have frequently crossed over and are known collectively as the "Arrowverse", which also includes the animated "Vixen" and the short-lived live action show "Constantine" that was revived as an animated series.

Malcolm Merlin (John Barrowman), originally from "Arrow" and Martin Stein (Victor Garber), from "Legends of Tomorrow" both appeared as other characters in the shared dream universe. Both characters had appeared in several of the shared universe shows.

This was done for the episode because they both have theater and singing backgrounds.
8. Who said they weren't impressed by Kara's famous cousin?

Answer: Barry

They were singing the song "Super-Friends" and it was very tongue in cheek. At one point he did an impression of Superman that Kara called spot on. They both sang jokes about their powers, which likely confused people in the 1940s era dream world where they had no powers.

Shortly after the song, both of them were shot in the street and nearly didn't survive.
9. Iris and Mon-El arrived in the dream world with the help of which character?

Answer: Cisco Ramon

Cisco used his powers as "Vibe" to take them into the shared dream. Once in the dream, they professed their love of each other and were rescued out of it.

Back in Star Labs the Music Miester claimed to just be trying to teach them a lesson and he left.
10. Who sang a proposal to their significant other?

Answer: Barry

He used his love of musicals and want to revive his relationship with Iris to to a song and dance number to propose to her for a second time.

The song he sang to her was called "Runnin' Home to You".

Kara and her friends returned to their dimension with her back in good health.
