Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Jack had Chrissy type up a resume for him. Which of them came up with the heading "To whom it may concern"?

Answer: Chrissy

Jack started off with "Dear Sir". Chrissy then asked him what if it was a woman who was reading the letter. He then told her to start it "Dear Madam". Jack's next choice was "Dear Sir or Madam". Chrissy asked him "How about 'To whom it may concern'" which Jack agreed upon. The letter did not sound like a resume but that is what it was called on the show.
2. What was the closing of the resume that Chrissy had typed for Jack?

Answer: Humbly yours,

Both Janet and Chrissy questioned "Humbly yours". When Jack said it to Chrissy she said it back questionably and gave Jack a strange look. When Janet read the resume she did the same thing Chrissy did when Jack had her type it.
3. How much did Mr. Roper offer Jack to paint the apartment building?

Answer: $50 per day

He told Jack it had to be done in two days.
4. Who said "You can't give an IOU to the UPS for a COD. They'll call the FBI."?

Answer: Helen

Helen went to the trio's apartment to borrow for a COD (Cash on Delivery) that she had. Chrissy asked why she just didn't give them an IOU. Helen's statement got both of them to laugh. "IOU" is short for "I owe you", the "UPS" is a package delivery service called the United Parcel Service, the "FBI" is short for "Federal Bureau of Investigations", a government agency in the United States.
5. Helen went to the trio's apartment to borrow some money. How much money did Helen ask to borrow?

Answer: $36

Chrissy only had $4. When she asked Helen how much she had, Helen told her $4 if Chrissy loaned her the $4.
6. When Chrissy came home, she brought home a new purse that she bought at Krugers.

Answer: False

Chrissy bought the purse at Barton's Department Store. Jack worked in the store window of Krugers in the episode "A Crowded Romance".
7. How much money did Chrissy take from Jack?

Answer: $32

Jack saw Chrissy take the money from his nightstand since he was painting out his bedroom window when she took it. Jack was in shock at what he saw and then the ladder went straight back with Jack on it.
8. When Stanley was at the trio's apartment, what did he ask for?

Answer: Ginger ale

Jack and Janet did not want him to open the refrigerator since that was where they put Helen's shawl so they told him they did not have any. They thought that Chrissy stole it and did not want Stanley to see it. When he opened the refrigerator he saw they did have ginger ale and also had beer and took a beer instead. He did not even notice the shawl.
9. Who was the first person to think that Chrissy was a kleptomaniac?

Answer: Janet

Jack did not realize that it was a possibility. They thought she had stolen Janet's pen, Jack's money and Helen's shawl. They later found out that she had borrowed both the money and the shawl and used her credit card to buy the purse.
10. At the beginning of the episode Janet discovered that her pen was missing. The pen was later found at the end of the episode. Where was the pen?

Answer: Jack had it

Jack was going to sign his resume and pulled Janet's pen out of his pocket. Janet recognized the pen as hers and told Jack that he had her pen. Jack was surprised since he did not know he had Janet's pen.
