Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where is Colonel Eve Baird when she first meets Flynn Carsen?

Answer: Berlin

Colonel Baird (Rebecca Romjin) is searching for a group of terrorists in Berlin when she runs into Flynn, who is looking for a magical talisman stolen by Nazis during World War II. The Librarian manages to recover the artifact while stopping Germany from facing a zombie apocalypse and helping Eve disarm a nuclear weapon.
"The Librarians" is an extension of "The Librarian" films, which starred Noah Wyle as Flynn Carsen. In past adventures, Flynn has found the Spear of Destiny, discovered King Solomon's mines and defeated Dracula.
2. Who recruits Eve Baird to become the new guardian?

Answer: The Library

Eve receives a mysterious invitation for a job interview at The Metropolitan Public Library. When Baird arrives, Charlene informs her that congratulations, she has the job. When Flynn objects to the new guardian, and claims that Charlene invited her, Charlene points out that "I don't send out the envelopes.

The Library sends out the envelopes." Rebeccca Romjin got her start as a supermodel. She was in both Sports Illustrated and worked as a Victoria's Secret angel. Romjin got her big acting break as Mystique in the "X-Men" series in 2000.

Her past television work includes the short-lived "Pepper Dennis" (2006) and as Alexis in "Ugly Betty" (2006-08).
3. Where is Cassandra Cillian working when Flynn and Eve first meet her?

Answer: Hospital

Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth) is a synesthete, someone whose senses are linked together. When Cassandra does math, she associates it with smells, usually breakfast. Cassandra also has a photographic memory.
Flynn and Eve discover Cassandra at Saint Francis Episcopal Hospital in New York City. Cassandra rescues a patient by diagnosing her with psittacosis, a disease which comes from parrots. She is working as a janitor when they find her.
Lindy Booth has been acting since 1998, primarily in television. "The Librarians" is the sixth series where she has been a regular character. She got her start on "Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension" (1998), and received excellent training for her "Librarians" role on "Relic Hunter" (1999-2001) and "The Philanthropist" (2009).
4. What state does Eve Baird travel to rescue Jake Stone from killer ninjas at a cowboy bar?

Answer: Oklahoma

Jake Stone (Christian Kane) is a genius with a 190 IQ and an expert on art history, useful skills for a Librarian. He has been hiding out as an oil rigger in Oklahoma. Jake is hitting on Lamia (Lesley-Ann Brandt) when Eve finds him. Lamia turns out to be an evil henchwoman with a posse of ninjas. Christian Kane has been working in television since 1997.

He is probably best known as mercenary extraordinaire Eliot Spencer on "Leverage" (2008-2012). Kane did gain experience working with the supernatural as Lindsey McDonald on "Angel" (1999-2004).

He does have the distinction of being the only person other than David Boreanaz to appear in the pilot and final episode of "Angel."
5. What is Ezekiel Jones attempting to steal when Flynn rescues him?

Answer: Gold dagger

Ezekiel Jones (John Kim) is a master thief and hacker, who is attempting to steal a gold dagger from an art museum in Geneva when Flynn finds him. His theft is foiled when his laser torch sets off the heat sensors of the museum's security system. Flynn and Ezekiel manage to escape one step ahead of the guards.
John Kim is fairly new to acting, starting in 2009. He appeared as Dale "Macca" McGregor in the Australian soap opera "Neighbours" in 2009-2011.
6. What is the name of the evil organization that Flynn and the new Librarians are fighting in "The Crown of King Arthur"?

Answer: The Serpent Brotherhood

The Serpent Brotherhood is an ancient and very evil group which is attempting to disturb the balance of magic in the world. Flynn Carsen fought them in "The Librarian: Quest for the Spear" (2004), the first film in "The Librarian" series, after the group had corrupted his predecessor.
The Death Scorpion Cult was mentioned by Nicole Noone (Sonya Walger) at the end of "Quest for the Spear". Cobra Kai were the bad guys in "The Karate Kid". Ophidian is the scientific term for snakes.
7. Where in Germany do the Librarians discover King Arthur's crown?

Answer: Stone circle in the Black Forest

A painting of King Arthur in a Berlin museum leads them to the Black Forest, where they discover a henge. Using Cassandra's math skills, they discover the secret hiding place of the crown.
"The crown of the Celt lies seventy leagues to the great woods" is the inscription that leads them to the Black Forest.
Flynn does get one thing wrong. He says that "henges are unheard of in this part of the world" when in fact there are several neolithic henges in Germany, including Goseck Henge.
8. Cassandra is seriously ill. What is wrong with her?

Answer: Brain tumor

Flynn uses his powers of deduction to figure out that Cassandra's synthesthesia, combined with hallucinations and seizures, are a result of a prefrontal anomaly known as a glioma. Cassandra says "It's about the size of a grape, which I wish they hadn't told me, because I really used to like grapes."
Ten years earlier, when Flynn became Librarian, the Library had sent an invitation to Cassandra, but she was sick in the hospital.
9. What strange item does Flynn use to create a high powered torch?

Answer: Prosciutto and a cucumber

Prosciutto is dry-cured ham from northern Italy. As Flynn notes, its high sodium and protein content make it a conductor for high heat, making it an excellent fuse for a thermal torch. Flynn creates the torch from the picnic Cassandra has packed, and Jake uses the torch to open the metal box holding the crown.
Dill pickles would contain large amounts of sodium and magnesium in brine. Fireworks generally contain some amounts of magnesium, as it is highly flammable. Some automobiles use magnesium in their construction.
10. Who gets stabbed by Excalibur at the end of "The Crown of King Arthur"?

Answer: Flynn

Flynn fights Lamia, and she is wearing the crown of King Arthur. This allows her to snatch the sword from Flynn's hand, and stab him. Which is a serious thing, because as a magical sword, wounds caused by Excalibur don't heal.
Excalibur, the magical sword of King Arthur, has been part of the lore the "Librarian" series since the first film. Flynn regularly trains with the magical sword in the halls of the Library.
