Although everyone wants to see the movie, Jerry has to do a gig at eleven, so he can't make it for the movie. George is the first one at the movie, and he ends up standing in the wrong line. Elaine ends up pointing this out to George when Kramer arrives.

George tells Elaine that he hopes the movie they're going to see is better than "Ponce De Leon", but she says she didn't like it. "Ponce De Leon" was a silent film created in 1924. It was about the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce De Leon who set down in Florida.

Kramer wants to leave the line to get a hot dog at The Papaya King, but Elaine doesn't want to save any seats. Apparently, Elaine once had the fleece ripped out of her winter jacket in a seat-saving incident. The movie ends up getting sold out at the Paragon Theater (where they were lined up), so they decide to go to the Paradise Twin theaters down the block

Although Kramer offers to stay, he ends up going to get a hot dog at The Papaya King restaurant, and Jerry ends up missing him. George eventually has to go back to get Kramer, but he isn't there.

Pat Buckles waits at the comedy clubs in case there's an opening for a routine, but no one seems to like him. Jerry ends up sharing a cab with Pat although he seems to hate every moment of it. Jerry ends up telling Pat how he feels.

Elaine has to save the seats for all three of the guys because Jerry is still on the ride to the theater, Kramer is outside the Paragon, and George has to go get them. Although she tries to save the seats, she ends up giving them to three other people.

George tells Elaine that it might be a good movie to see, but she says that it's pointless and boring. In "Checkmate", Elaine ends up having a horrible time anyways since the person behind her keeps talking during the movie. Despite the fact that Jerry makes it to the movie, he goes in just before Kramer gets back from the Papaya King, and just after George comes by.

George ends up using his own, Jerry's, Kramer's tickets to re-enter the theater multiple times. When he enters the final time, he ends up accidentally walking by Elaine, and he just misses Kramer, who's right behind him.

Kramer ended up taking Elaine's seat to watch "Checkmate", so she decided to watch "Rochelle Rochelle". George gets fed up with the search and also enters the theater playing "Rochelle Rochelle". When Jerry arrives back at the improve club, he misses his bit and he goes back to see the movie, and the three end up meeting up in the theater.

When Kramer leaves the theater, Elaine realizes that Kramer stole her seat because he found her jacket in it. Jerry and Kramer end up needing to reimburse George because he paid for their tickets despite the fact that they never used them.
