During the episode Jim and Dwight are dumbfounded at how they got bad reviews. Michael makes them go through a mock sales call, to show them how a call should go between the salesman and the customer. Jim turns it into a joke right away, and gets Dwight yelled at by Michael.

As the day goes on Jim begins to see all of these mugs with a different employee's face on it. Jim stops Ryan and asks him where they got the mugs. Ryan tells Jim that everyone got them a Kelly Kapoor's "America's Got Talent" party she had over the summer, a party that Jim and Dwight did not attend. Jim figures that she did it out of spite. Eventually Kelly admits to Michael that she did write the bad reviews.

David Wallace, the CFO of Dunder Mifflin, sends Michael on the trip to make the sale and to help him get over the recent move of Holly Flax. Holly was Michael's girlfriend until the "Employee Transfer", where they broke up. David tells Michael to talk to the concierge when he checks in at the hotel to find a place to go for dinner. Michael soon falls in love with concierge Marie. Later that night he sees her at the bar he, Oscar, and Andy go to. Eventually Marie and Michael go back to her room. Later we see Michael leaving the room in a depressed mood.

The next morning they meet with the client and end up getting the sale. While in the airport Michael calls David and tells him about his time in Winnipeg and about the sale. He also yells at David for relocating on Holly, then hangs up, and gets on the plane.

As Pam is going to put some food in the microwave she notices it is very messy. She types of a note and places it on the cabinet above the microwave. In the note she asks whomever made the mess to please clean it up. The next time she goes into the kitchen another note has been left beside the original.

In this note it tells her to just clean it up and move on. Everyone dislikes the original note that Pam wrote, except for Angela who wishes she had written it. Later in the episode several notes were added to the cabinet. Finally Pam confronts the office and the culprit is revealed in an interview.

While Meredith is talking to the cameras she says that she is a maid after work and that she cleans up her messes at home and she doesn't have time to do it at work.

The last doll that Dwight had was bought by Darryl, a warehouse worker for the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. Toby, the Human Resources representative, comes in as he is buying the doll and wants it for his daughter. Darryl says he'll give it to him for $400, double the price he paid for it. Toby accepts saying he'll pay him the other $200 later.

During the episode "The Duel" it is revealed, by Michael to Andy, that Angela has been having an affair with Dwight while they have been dating. Andy and Dwight are both angry at each other and both agree to meet in the parking lot during their breaks. Dwight appears first and sees a note on the bushes from Andy.

The winner of the duel will get Angela, and Angela agrees to the circumstances. As Dwight is distracted by the note Andy shows up driving a Toyota Prius and closing in on Dwight. The rest of the office is watching from the conference room in the office. Oscar tells everyone that if driven under 5mph the Prius is silent.

He hits Dwight. While being pinned between the bushes and the car Andy and Dwight start talking to each other. It is then revealed that Angela has slept with Andy and not only with Dwight, like she's been telling Dwight.

The two then stop fighting and go back inside the office. They both go on with work, Andy cancels a few wedding related things and Dwight throws out his bobble head, a gift from Angela.

The break windows, break office materials, and even try to climb through the ceiling. During it all Dwight is yelling instructions, but no one is listening. Soon the fire is controlled and Dwight reveals that it was actually a drill. Stanley then has a heart attack.

The next day Michael tries various remedies to cure the stress in the office. When standing near Stanley, while he has his stress monitor on, the monitor beeps. The beep denounces that Stanley's heart rate is rising. Michael steps away and it stops and then steps forward.

This reveals to himself that he is the one that causes the stress.

As Michael enters his last two weeks as manager of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin he begins acting up way more than usual. Soon the office workers begin to suggest that Michael should look for a job. Michael finds no available positions and decides to start up his own paper company.

When the time comes for Michael to leave the Scranton branch Charles doesn't allow him to speak to the employees. He then has the security guards escort him off the premises. Michael then proceeds to sneak back into the office.

He then asks everyone in the office to join him in his quest to start up his own paper company. Charles sees Michael and then has him escorted again off the grounds. As he is leaving Pam comes along and says she'll join Michael and his company.

Charles then asks Jim if he is a big fan of soccer, Jim says that he plays. Dwight, noticing that Jim is lying, sets up a game for later in the day.

While they are playing Charles kicks the ball at Jim's face. Jim ducks and the ball hits Phyllis in the face. Charles, provoked by Dwight's mocking, yells at Jim for what he did.

Meanwhile, Dunder Mifflin is trying to buyout the Michael Scott Paper Company, not knowing that they are soon to be broke. David Wallace comes to Scranton to initiate the buyout. Pam, Michael, and Ryan all meet with David to reach an agreement on a buyout. Soon they reach one in which they all get jobs at Dunder Mifflin.

This time with Pam and Ryan both being put into sales.

As Michael opens Cafe Disco up no one comes, so he tries playing various dance songs to try and sway the office workers to come in and dance. While not dancing in Cafe Disco someone could drink and socialize. Phyllis is the first attendee of Cafe Disco. Very quickly she throws her back out. Dwight brings her into the conference room to massage her.

He says in an interview with the cameras that he usually gives to massage that he is giving to Phyllis, to horses that are injured. While being massaged Phyllis starts talking about how she thinks that Bob Vance is cheating on her, but then disregards it. Soon the massage is over and Phyllis returns to Cafe Disco once more, to dance with Bob Vance.
