1. At the beginning of the episode, Dogtanian is asleep in bed. What is hanging from the foot of the bed?

Answer: A saddle

Dogtanian is still carrying round Sandy's saddle, even though he had to leave his horse at the inn in episode 2.

2. In Dogtanian's dream, he is dancing with Juliette in the clouds. What happens next?

Answer: He falls through a hole in the cloud

This sequence is one of the things we see in the opening credits. Dogtanian falls through a hole in the cloud, then drags himself back up while Juliette giggles.

3. What colour are the shutters on Dogtanian's bedroom window?

Answer: Green

Dogtanian isn't sure where he is, he doesn't realise Juliette's uncle is taking care of him. He throws open the shutter and looks down into the street.

4. Juliette's uncle brings Dogtanian some food on a tray when he wakes up. Which of the following is NOT one of the items he eats?

Answer: Cheese

First he eats a stick of celery and a bread roll, then he eats a red apple and another bread roll. The actual contents of the tray seem to vary throughout the scene.

The eyepatch makes him distinguishable from Porthos, but nobody seems to notice this. His fur is also a darker brown than Porthos'.

Dogtanian doesn't have his horse with him, remember? Aramis is sitting under a tree, and his horse is nearby. When the thief tries to steal it, Aramis throws a knife at him, and the thief runs off.

Aramis seems to be very religious, he asks Dogtanian to pray with him. Aramis always seemed quite camp to me too!

He has a duel with Porthos after accusing him of stealing. Porthos does not want to fight Dogtanian, but, as usual, Dogtanian won't back down.

Aramis says that the thief did bear a striking resemblance to Porthos, but the plume in his hat was slightly lighter. Although the thief was wearing an eyepatch, and had different coloured fur, still nobody picks up on it!

Widimer shoots the thief after he is discovered, so that he can deny all knowledge of the plan. It was quite unusual to have characters actually killing each other in a children's cartoon, normally they just get injured then learn the error of their ways!

17. How does Dogtanian know that Widimer knew about the plan and the thief?

Answer: He remembers that he saw him in the woods when he was chasing the thief

Dogtanian saw Widimer ride away into the woods earlier, but didn't put two and two together until he saw Widimer shoot the thief.

Answer: Porthos

It seems quite fitting that Porthos battles Widimer, seeing as Widimer tried to have him framed for theft.

19. Who kills one of the Cardinal's guards during the big battle?

Answer: Aramis

Aramis is fighting one of the guards, and he stabs him after making him drop his sword. Looking back, this was quite a violent episode, wasn't it?!

20. Porthos gets injured during the battle, where does he get hurt?

Answer: Left shoulder

He gets hurt during a fight with one of the guards. Even though he was battling Widimer to begin with, Widimer runs off when he realises he's losing, and Porthos fights the other guards.
