Buffy's neck is broken by The Master, much in the way that Angel killed Ms. Calendar in the real world.

"Brave New World," is the name of a classic science fiction novel by Aldous Huxley, but he got the title from "The Tempest." It was one of Miranda's lines in that play: "O brave new world, That has such people in't!" A "Hamlet" quote was used in the episode "The Dark Age" - "The rest is silence."
