Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which young actor played the son of Herman and Lily Munster on the 1964 comedy series "The Munsters"?

Answer: Butch Patrick

From a field of 500 acting hopefuls, 10 year old Butch Patrick was selected for the role of Herman and Lily Munster's only child, Edward "Eddie" Wolfgang Munster for the 1964 comedy series "The Munsters".
Eddie was a typical all American boy who resembled a werewolf, always dressed in his black Fauntleroy suit with short pants, and had a hairstyle with a very prominent "widow's peak".

The Munsters were a typical blue collar working family who felt they were like any other family, despite their appearances. Family patriarch Herman (Fred Gywnne) resembled a seven foot tall Frankenstein figure, his wife Lily (Yvonne De Carlo) looked like a vampire vamp, and Lily's father, referred to as Grandpa (Al Lewis) was a vampire bat who would appear as Count Dracula. Rounding out the Munster clan was Lily's Niece, Marilyn, who the family felt was cursed with bad looks. She appeared as an attractive blonde teenage girl who resembled a young Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn was played in the first 13 episodes by Beverley Owens, who was replaced by Pat Priest for the remainder of the series.
As Universal Studios produced the series and owned the rights to the classic monster movies "Dracula" (1931), "Frankenstein" (1931), and "Werewolf of London" (1935), the Munster characters were able to resemble the classic monsters.

"The Munsters" aired for two seasons (1964-1966) with 70 half hour episodes, all filmed in black and white.
The series was canceled after the second season due to continued low ratings, but found its niche in the syndicated television market, where "The Munsters" became one of the most popular rerun series.
One attraction to viewers were the classic hot-rod type vehicles used on the show. The Munster family car was a souped-up, custom-made extended hot rod known as the "Munster Koach". Grandpa drove an even faster hot rod, shaped as a coffin, called "DRAG-U-LA".

Butch Patrick, birth name Patrick Alan Lilly, was born on August 2, 1953 in Los Angeles, California.

Answer: Brittany and Cynthia Daniel

Identical twin sisters Brittany and Cynthia Daniel played Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield on the series.

Stories for the show revolved around the Wakefield twins. Their school buddies and their high school experiences in their quaint community of Sweet Valley, California.
While the two beautiful blonde sisters appeared to be identical in appearance, they were completely different in other ways. Elizabeth was a warm, fun-loving, friendly student who was always willing to accept responsibilities and duties, while her sister, Jessica, was mischievous, sometimes mean spirited, snobbish, and thought nothing of using false sincerity to get what she needed, often at the expense of others.

"Sweet Valley High" ran 88 episodes during its four season run from 1994 through 1997. The series and characters were based on the "Sweet Vally High" novel series, created by Francine Pascal, who supervised the group of ghost writers who produced 152 novels, published both in hardback and paper over a 20 year period.

In the syndicated version of the show, 11 year old actor Jeremy Jackson was cast in the role of Hobie Buchannon, playing the part for the duration of the series.

"Baywatch" aired stories and adventures involving a group of Southern California lifeguards, protecting the beaches, and almost always clad in swimwear. The series help to propel actress Pamela Anderson into superstar-sex symbol status.

At its high point, "Baywatch" was said to be the most viewed television show in the world, running in 144 countries in 15 different languages. "Baywatch" also had the dubious distinction of being the longest running series (11 years) not to win a Primetime Emmy in any category.

The street-wise and precocious Punky found shelter in an empty apartment building where she met Henry Warnimont (George Gaynes), an elderly widower, who befriended her, became her de facto guardian and subsequently legally adopted her. Henry adjusted to his new situation with the aid of helpful neighbors and social workers.

The series highlighted the change in lifestyle for the two main characters, Punky from a wayward young child into a regular child in a loving environment and friends and Henry, from a bitter, cranky widower to a loving parent.
