1. Which episode debuted the cat and mouse team in 1940?

Answer: "Puss Gets the Boot"

In this episode, Tom is told by his mistress that if he breaks anything in the house, he is out the door. This became a repetitive story, and was used several times during the series. Jerry always made Tom make loud noises or break valuable objects.
2. Tom was never always called Tom (or Thomas). What was Tom originally known as?

Answer: Jasper

In the first episode "Puss Gets the Boot", Tom is referred to as Jasper by his mistress.
3. Tom was not the only character to have another name. Which character was known as "Killer"?

Answer: Spike

Spike is a bulldog who always tries to protect Jerry. In several episodes, Jerry has to call for his bodyguard to help him, but towards the end of the episode, Spike is usually thrown in to the dog warden's van.

Tuffy is a small, grey version of Jerry. Like Scrappy Doo, he is a troublesome character who risks danger, and falls in to many of Tom's traps. In the episodes which parody "The Three Musketeers", Tuffy joins Jerry on his adventures. When Tuffy first debuted, he was known as Nibbles.
