Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Tony Blundetto reappeared in Tony Soprano's life after several years of being away. He returned to New Jersey at the same time other old-timers showed up, too. Where was he while he was away?

Answer: Prison

Although Tony B. had been in prison for 17 years, upon his return to New Jersey he was quickly established as one of Tony S.'s closest friends, perhaps his best. When Tony B. returned from prison, emotionally he was just picking up where they left off, cousins and best friends who would kid each other.

But Tony S. was a now a boss, and didn't want to be disrespected in front of his men. When Tony B. lightheartedly teased Tony S. about being fat, Tony Soprano shut him down and demanded that Tony B. show proper respect in front of others. Tony B. accepted it. Nonetheless, Tony Soprano, who was estranged from his wife Carmela at this time and somewhat lonely, was surely glad to have his cousin back in town.

But this disparity in their familiarity with each other was a wedge.
2. While Tony B. had been away, he fathered twin boys in an interesting way. What were the names of his twins?

Answer: Jason and Justin

Jason and Justin Blundetto were twins played by Dennis and Kevin Aloia. They were conceived when Tony B. had his "sample" smuggled out of prison and to his (future ex) wife. The incident was loosely based on a true story that took place in 1996 at a Brooklyn jail; the wife who was supposed to receive the sample decided against it and ratted out her husband, and the guard who provided the service was fired and charged with smuggling.
3. When he returned to New Jersey, Tony Blundetto was determined to live a legitimate life and stay out of a life of crime. He studied in prison and was on his way to becoming a particular kind of professional. What did Tony Blundetto want to be?

Answer: Massage therapist

In prison, Tony B. had been assigned to the medical unit, where he became interested in physical and massage therapy. When he was released, he continued his studies in preparation for the state licensing board. Tony Soprano seemed a little embarrassed by it and told Tony B. to knock it off when he was giving free massages to the guys at Satriale's.
4. Tony Blundetto made a friend when he was away, a friend to whom he remained very loyal. This loyalty eventually caused huge problems between the New York and New Jersey families that in some ways lingered all the way to the end of the show. Who was this friend?

Answer: Angelo Garepe

Angelo Garepe, a returning capo in the New York Lupertazzi family, and Tony Blundetto bonded during their years in prison together. After the death of Carmine Lupertazzi, his son, Little Carmine, and the underboss, Johnny Sacrimoni, engaged in a bloody power struggle. Angelo was loyal to Little Carmine, and he hired Tony B. to take out one of Johnny's loyalists, starting a chain of violent events that destabilized the New York family and eventually the New Jersey one as well.
5. While studying for his state licensing test, Tony B. worked a legitimate job with a boss named Mr. Kim. What was Tony B.'s job?

Answer: Laundry truck driver

Mr. Kim, a Korean immigrant, owned a laundry service and at first treated Tony Blundetto with disdain for being a convicted felon. Eventually Mr. Kim came to respect Tony B. for his worth ethic, and even went into business with him so that Tony B. could open his own massage therapy clinic.
6. Tony Blundetto studied for his state licensing test, with the support of his girlfriend, Gwen. He flunked the test.

Answer: False

Tony Blundetto passed the test and become a licensed massage therapist! Sadly, it was one of the last good things to happen to him in New Jersey. He was about to start a string of really, really bad luck.
7. Tony Soprano and his nephew Christopher Moltisanti had their run of problems, but they came to a head after Tony S. and Christopher's fiancé Adriana were in a car accident together. Rumors spread that they had been hooking up during the drive. Christopher was humiliated and furious enough to confront Tony Soprano. The scene was getting very ugly until Tony Blundetto intervened. What did he suggest that probably saved Christopher's life?

Answer: Talking to the ER doctor to see if there was evidence of the rumor

"Hey, Tony, listen to somebody else for a change!" - that simple phrase from Tony B. stopped Tony in his tracks. No one could speak so freely to Tony S. as Tony B. They drove with Christopher to the hospital where Adriana and Tony S. were treated and learned from the E.R. doctor that Adriana had not been doing anything untoward during the car ride with Tony S.

It was a very close call with Christopher. Tony Blundetto had a way of calming Tony Soprano unlike anyone else.
8. Walking around one evening, Tony Blundetto and his girlfriend found something that had been tossed out a car onto the side of the road. What was it?

Answer: A bag of money

Finding a bag of money seemed like a huge stroke of good luck, but it led to the end of Tony B.'s legitimate life. It resurrected his gambling habit, which got him quickly in debt. He ended up losing his temper at Mr. Kim, burning that bridge, and joining Tony Soprano's criminal activities. Despite his best intentions to life a legit life, ultimately, painfully, he wasn't able to.
9. Once Tony B. was back in the life of a mobster, he became involved in the power struggle between factions within the neighboring Lupertazzi crime family, specifically between Johnny Sac and Little Carmine. He eventually killed three people during this conflict. Who were they?

Answer: Joey Peeps, a prostitute, and Billy Leotardo

These killings show the escalation of violence that happened in New York. Tony Blundetto killed Joey Peeps because Little Carmine's crew paid him to do it; the prostitute was collateral damage. In retaliation, New York capo Phil Leotardo killed Angelo Garape. Then Tony Blundetto avenged Angelo's death by killing Phil's brother, Billy Leotardo.
10. Johnny Sac eventually won the power struggle in the Lupertazzi family, and Tony Blundetto went into hiding. He knew Johnny Sac's underboss, Phil Leotardo, was out to kill him, and not quickly. Unfortunately for Tony B., he was found and taken out, which was the only way to settle the peace among the families. Who killed him?

Answer: Tony Soprano

Partially due to his almost preternatural intuition, Tony Soprano figured out that Tony Blundetto was hiding at old Uncle Pat's abandoned farmhouse. And, horrifying to all, it was Tony Soprano who killed his beloved cousin, Tony Blundetto. It was the only way, Soprano believed, to keep a bloody war from escalating and decimating the entire New Jersey family.
