1. What species is Dr. Phlox of "Star Trek: Enterprise"?

Answer: Denobulan

Denobula is in the Denobula Triaxa system. All 12 billion inhabitants live on one continent. 2. What was the name of the Xindi scientist who designed the weapon that was to destroy Earth in "Star Trek: Enterprise"

Answer: Degra

Gralik Durr was a Xindi-Arboreal, who was working at the plant producing kemocite for the weapon. Damron and Dolim were both Xindi-Reptilians. Degra was the Xindi-Primate responsible for the both the original weapon that killed seven million people on Earth and the subsequent device that was to destroy the planet entirely.

Ultimately, Degra felt guilty for the deaths his weapon had caused and came to trust Archer enough to persuade the Xindi council to cancel the attack.

5. "I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer!" Dr. McCoy utters this epithet when asked to heal the rock-like Horta in what "TOS" episode?

6. On which planet did the crew of the Enterprise-D manage to travel back in time to 19th Century San Francisco in the two part "TNG" episode "Time's Arrow"?

Answer: Devidia II

Lieutenant Commander Data really loses his head in this episode!

We also find out that Guinan was present in San Francisco at that time and this is when she first meets Captain Picard.

Question by Daddy19
7. Who was the brilliant computer scientist who invented duotronic circuits and the deadly M-5 computer?

Answer: Daystrom

Daystrom's duotronic circuits became the basis for Federation starship computer systems for eighty years. As shown in the "TOS" episode "The Ultimate Computer", Daystrom designed the M-5 to use memory engrams imprinted on computer circuits to mimic brain synapses. Unfortunately, the memory engrams from Daystrom used in the test model also mimicked the unstable parts of his personality. During a war game, the M-5 fired phasers at full intensity at the USS Excaliber and the USS Lexington, resulting in over 500 deaths.

8. When Tom Paris was challenged by Seven of Nine to build a better shuttlecraft, Tom improved on the standard Class 2 shuttle and named his creation... what?

Answer: The Delta Flyer

The Delta Flyer first appeared in the "VOY" episode "Extreme Risk". B'Elanna Torres contributed her engineering expertise to the project, Seven helped with her knowledge of Borg weaponry to improve shielding, and contributions by Tuvok and Harry Kim allowed Tom to put it all together, including manual flight controls rather than automated. The name, of course, is related to their long trip through the Delta Quadrant.

9. From which Klingon 'house' were the duplicitous sisters Lursa and B'Etor?

Answer: Duras

The Duras sisters conspired with Romulan operative Sela to replace Gowron as leader of the Klingon High Council. It started a civil war which continued until their complicity with the Romulans was discovered. This is from the "TNG" episodes "Redemption, Part I" and Redemption, Part II" but we saw the sisters in other "TNG" and "DS9" episodes and the movie "Star Trek Generations."

Question by CmdrK
10. The symbiont Dax was a prominent character on "DS9" that viewers knew primarily through the two Trill hosts that it occupied: Jadzia and Ezri. Which of these was not a host for Dax prior to Jadzia?

Answer: Cralen

In its lifetime, Dax had nine hosts in total. In order they were Lela, Tobin, Emony, Audrid, Torias, Joran, Curzon, Jadzia and Ezri. There was also the character of Verad who was depicted in the series as having stolen Dax and implanting it for a number of hours (season two episode "Invasive Procedures"). We also see a Yedrin Dax in the 5th season alternate timeline episode "Children of Time".
