The "Trouble with Tribbles" bar fight was started by Korax and Scotty because Korax called NCC-1701 a trash heap. One thing you should know you should never insult NCC-1701 in front of Scotty. If you attempt to insult the Enterprise you will get a nine-fingered fist up your nose.

Shore leave was cancelled when it ended in a bitter argument with Kirk and the "Trouble with Tribbles" bar fight happened which Scotty and Korax started. Koloth would later say that he would never get the chance to fight Kirk in battle.
