Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Heard during a conversation with Sam and Dean, where had Bobby reported crop failure and cicada swarms?

Answer: Lincoln, Nebraska

It had been five days since Bobby, Ellen and the Winchesters had let 'hell outta the bag', so to speak. Dean mentioned that the "weirdo storm clouds" had been spotted over 17 cities, but nothing else unusual had happened thus far.

Willamette, Colorado is the setting for the video game "Dead Rising", and Fresno is a small town south of Houston, Texas.
2. What was the cause of death for the three folks Bobby, Dean, and Sam discovered in a house outside of Lincoln?

Answer: dehydration and starvation

When the men discovered these three folks, they were sitting on the sofa watching TV. It was later determined that this was the sin of sloth. At the time of discovery, the TV series "Dallas" was playing in the television. Lucy Ewing was on, and she made reference to her grandmother (Miss Ellie), Sue Ellen and J.R.

A possible inside joke/homage to new co-star Katie Cassidy, having Lucy on the TV screen, since she is set to play Lucy in the upcoming film "Dallas".
3. We met three new hunters in this episode, but only learned the names of two of them. Who were the married hunter couple?

Answer: Isaac and Tamara

Played by Peter Macon and Caroline Chikezie, the hunters had been married for eight years. They became hunters after the death of their daughter at the hands of demons. The third new hunter, played by Katie Cassidy, was not named. Her name is Ruby, as listed, but not heard aloud as of yet.

Katie is the daughter of actor/writer/producer David Cassidy. David played in the 1970s hit "The Partridge Family".
4. At the start of this episode, we saw Walter Rosen become infected with one of the seven deadly sins. We later learned he was which one?

Answer: Envy

The men used video surveillance footage to sus out Walter, after he caused a woman in a store to attack another woman for the envy of shoes. They held him in a couple of devil's traps before allowing Tamara to exorcise the envy demon out of his body. Walter, played by Josh Daugherty, did not survive. It is unclear if Tamara helped him die, or if the exorcism killed him.
5. The demons inside the demon bar used the sin of gluttony to kill Issac.

Answer: True

That demon caused him to down a gallon (or more) of liquid drain cleaner. Sam, Dean and Bobby had offered to help the couple earlier, but Isaac claimed that they did not play well with others. He also said he didn't want to work with the fools who'd allowed the gate to Hell to be opened. None of the men explained why that had taken place...
6. During Bobby's explanation on the origin of the seven deadly sins, what year did he say that they'd been identified as actual demons?

Answer: 1589

I missed the name of the man he said actually made this identification. But, after he explained it, Bobby also named the seven deadly sins and Dean offered a line from the movie "Seven".
7. How many sin demons did the new blonde hunter kill with her special knife?

Answer: 3

Tamara got rid one for sure, envy, and Bobby took out one as well. The new hunter saved Sam's life by killing three of them with her knife, but in that process Sam saved her as well. She didn't linger long afterward, but said just enough to allow Sam to realize she knew who he was.

Bobby stated at the end that two humans survived the exorcism. They salted and burned the remaining human corpses, and Tamara burned Isaac's body separately.
8. Which demon did Dean submerge in a bath of Holy water and rosary beads?

Answer: Lust

Lust came in the form of a cute blonde chick. Played by actress Katya Virshilas, she was one of the humans to survive the exorcism.
9. There was a devil's trap on the trunk lid of Bobby's car.

Answer: True

Dean threw Envy into the trunk as they were speeding away/out of the demon bar. Back at the house, they placed him under a trap drawn on the ceiling as well. This is where he sat as Tamara exorcised him back into hell.
10. Did Dean tell Sam the truth about what would happen if he tried to get out of his Crossroad's deal?

Answer: Yes

Sam had been trying to uncover a way to rid Dean of his deal with the demon at the Crossroads. Finally, Dean revealed the last tidbit from that deal. He explained to Sam that if he did anything to get out of the agreement, Sam would die instantly. Dean told Sam to accept it, and stop trying to find a way out. Sam called Dean selfish. Dean agreed and said that after all he'd done for their family, he could live with that. Dean had spent a portion of the episode trying to live out some of his last moments of fun with a little over indulgence in several life arenas.
